The company exhibits a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in product quality and swift shipping, often impressing customers with well-packaged prints. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling errors and returns, which many customers found frustrating and unresponsive. Complaints about poor print quality, cropping issues, and lack of phone support are prevalent, leading to dissatisfaction. While some customers commend the company's quick resolution of issues, a recurring sentiment indicates that when problems occur, the support experience can be inadequate, prompting customers to seek alternatives.

They resized my image incorrectly and have a hundred excuses why that's not their fault. They resized based on width not height and cut off my head... and they didn't notice. They claim I approved it in preview mode but I took a pic with my phone of the preview that was on my PC before I spent $100. They have ignored that. They don't stand behind their product. Will never use them again.
I ordered from Mpix because PC Magazine left a decent review. I won't make that mistake again. I ordered Christmas cards from Mpix and upgraded to expedited shipping. They got to me fast, but the photos on the card are blurry, so no quality control was done before shipping my order. The site claims that 100% satisfaction is guaranteed and that they make sure everything is checked and good to go. That is a lie, because the blurry photos are very noticeable, as is the white line running down the right side and bottom of each card.
When I emailed about a refund, the woman helping me said they would only offer a half refund if I returned the cards, because it was my fault. So their solution is to blame the customer, even though they are the ones responsible for checking the product during creation and shipment. I was told that the size of the file just barely met the minimum requirements for a 5x7 card. So, that means it still met the requirement, so I don't understand how this is not a printing issue on their end. I paid over $116 for cards I cannot use and if I return them, I will not receive a refund for my expedited shipping and I'm sure they'll want me to pay for return shipping. So, in the end, I would probably be refunded $20 for their error.
Please save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. I usually use Prints of Love and should have just gone with them again this time, instead of looking for a deal.
I have had a very difficult time working with the Mpix site to create a photo album. So I tried their chat support and three different support associates couldn't explain how to use their site. I watched a YouTube video they sent me a link for, but I couldn't follow it because it only explained how to use their most expensive premium selections.
After about 4 hours, I finally was able to put together an album, but I will never use this site again. This was my second time ordering from them and I could not duplicate the first order. I think the site was designed by Russian torturers. Having said that, the finished product I ordered several months ago was good, it's just not worth the hassle to create a photo book. Try another company to make a photo book.
Ordered hundreds of dollars in wall pictures. Unhappy with product. MPix on website advertises 100% customer satisfaction but it's at your additional cost. Company will not speak over phone only chat or email. I used this company in 2019 and was totally satisfied with the product. Today I would rate it a "0" with total dissatisfaction!
It is required that Mpix must save your credit card information before you can place an order. It does not seem necessary and why would I want them to save all of this information. I'll try someplace else.
I've placed several orders for giclée prints, matted & framed and with glass. The quality is excellent, the price is reasonable & every order has been extremely well packed.
I ordered a book at there were problems with the binding/wrinkled pages. Customer service was AMAZING. They sent me a new book the very next day (that arrived in less than 48 hours of my complaint) and it is perfect. This is a great guestbook option for those not wanting to spend hundreds.
I sent two rolls of 35mm in to be processed, one Portra and the other an Ilford C41 B&W, both shot with different cameras that I know were good. I was attracted to a lower price than I paid locally. The Portra scans were strange because some images had red or green lines through them. The Ilford came out all upside down, and in sepia: when I asked Mpix they first said they don't do B&W, then I explained c41, they said film was old. I'm a bit skeptical of the quality as a consequence. Fortunately the films didn't actually have any thing important.
They are extremely improfessional, Costco does better job
Their pictures are blurry BAD coloring and they just print and send. They do NOT fix the coloring and blurriness or the size that you need, etc. After sending me horrible pictures that I can not use they offered a lower price so I had to pay again, and sent me the same $#*! as before. WOULD NOT WORK WITH THEM AGAIN. They also have attitudes too unbelievable
Poor quality. There is no real place to leave a review. They claim they will send you a review form weeks after your order. Their site provides their own reviews not customers. The quality is very poor for Giclee Print. Giclée prints are supposed to be on 100% cotton paper or a minimum of card stock paper. The print I received was cheap, flimsy, regular printer paper that curls up. The image was grainy and gray with no clarity. I suspect these are run through a machine in an out of a large factory with different names.
They shipped the pictures out quickly, and the photo paper is excellent quality, but most of the pictures I ordered are of no use. They are dance pictures of my daughter, and they cropped her head, hands, and feet out of several of the prints even though none of the images were uploaded and ordered that way. What good is a picture of a dancer if their feet aren't in it, or their hand is clipped out of it? There were other poor quality issues in addition to this. The issues were not resolved nor made right, and it was nothing short of a big waste of my time even bothering.
After using Shutterfly forever, about two years ago I switched to using mpix due to the quality of products on their site. I've never had an issue with a product or delivery, until this month, when UPS totally screwed up delivery of my treasured Christmas gifts. To summarize a long story -- due to my chronically ill child being hospitalized, I wasn't able to work on the delivery issue right away. I then only had one week left before Christmas. I contacted mpix customer service and explained I never got the order, and could they help me? I fully expected that the answer would be "sorry, no." But to my surprise, they re-made my entire order and re-shipped it with expedited delivery so that I would have the items before Christmas! I was so blown away by their kindness and professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure that I was happy. I didn't think there was even a 1% chance that a company these days would even care that this happened... to my shock, mpix really did care. On top of that, their products are gorgeous and so worth every penny! I fully recommend giving them a shot.
We placed an order confidently, based on positive reviews. However, our enlargements arrived: cropped too large (requiring us to crop further), poor quality, and with parts of image cut off, despite our care with preview image/proof. We made sure all images were within the gray border, etc.
Mpix customer service was uncaring and made it a hassle. We sent pictures to mpix of the issues but were instructed to mail photos back and only offered a partial refund. Forget it! Lesson learned.
See photos. The two seemingly same photos are provided to show the one with proper image and the one from mpix with a chin cut off. Also posting poor quality (our images were high res) enlargements of a wedding party/groomsmen, and 2 photos with edges sticking out beyond the glass of frames (requiring us to trim them).
This is my first review ever. I had to give 5 stars to Mpix for their superior quality. The picture quality was first rate and the instructions and details to arranging photos was surprisingly easy. I recommend this to everyone I know.
I very rarely if ever write a review on a product but I feel so emphatically taken advantage of with this product. The photo book I made was of such poor quality that it's an embarrassment (as I gave it as a gift) it cost me $70.00 and honestly it looks like it maybe cost $10 at the most. The quality of the paper, the print quality of the photos and the resolution is some of the worst I've seen. I have made many books in the past of trips to various countries and they have always been so spectacular (my publisher was the company that has since gone out of business) but it was such a treat to receive their finished product
These books are GARBAGE!' I can't say it emphatically enough. A total rip off and I'm shocked they are a business. When I complained they just ignored me. DO NOT ORDER from here. I spent over $140 for two paper 10x10 small books
I ordered my son's high school graduation open house invites with mpix. I previously ordered his Senior photos from mpix at the recommendation of the photographer. They cropped my son's head off if one of photos on the invite, which is not how it appeared when ordered obviously. The best they could do was to offer me 60% off of me placing another order. Seriously?! Will never use or recommend!
My prints were printed and shipped within 24 hours of ordering and arrived two days after shipping. I was very impressed by how well-packaged everything was - it is obvious that a lot of care goes into the packaging to ensure that your prints arrive undamaged (all prints arrived in perfect condition, sent flat on cardboard backing and organized by print size, with the prints inside plastic sleeves, and packaged in a way to keep the prints from becoming mobile and getting damaged). I ordered a variety of print sizes, some quite large for wall display, and they all look fantastic. Very impressed with this company all-around. I will be ordering from them again in the near future.
Had issues with delivery, so had to contact support. The response was within minutes, took care, results exceeded expectations. Recommend! Best experience!
At a low cost, you have superior stuff. To get a glorious result, we register on your website. Thank you so much for your quality work, and we are all pleased with your goods.
I don't understand how anyone could give this site anything less than 5 stars; the quality of my prints were astounding, and their customer service was even better. There was a mistake in my order (from MY end - I blame mom brain) and they were quick, professional, and most importantly KIND while helping me resolve the issue. Can not recommend this site enough!
Answer: The pictures I had developed her professionally taken and I couldn't be happier with the quality. They turned out beautifully. And I got 4x6 all the way to 12x16 developed.
