Very unhappy with this website. Ordered very expensive glasses, waited for over a week, contact them, they admitted, that item is not shipped yet. I wanted to cancel, it took them a while to get back to me, and they offered 5% discount - lol. So far, they charged my card 2 weeks ago now, no glasses, no service. VERY SAD and wasted of time web site. Will cancel this order, and try to stay away from them!
Save your money and buy from a US vendor. My order was wrong then I learned it would cost $70 to return it and I received a bill for $30 in customs charges from fed ex that was not disclosed by the website. Horrible company.
Excellent, prompt service. Have made 3 separate purchases to date and have been extremely happy with sunglasses purchases. They are the real deal, authentic, great quality sunglasses at a great price. Sunglasses only took approx 8-10 days tops to arrive from Italy to Melbourne :)
I bought sunglasses from this place and i would not recommended it not even my worst enemy! They sold me some sunglasses that were fake and when I sent them back what a nightmare to get my money back! Beware do not order from here! I wasnt even sure that they were really going to issue me a refund which thankfully they did after 20 emails back and fourth it took like 2 1/2 months to settle this ordeal!
As others have mentioned, Luxoneyes advertises free shipping and no sales tax BUT they will make you pay for import & customs taxes of around $31. This was a total shock to me, as you get the bill a week later. I contacted Luxoneyes asking them to make right on this and cover it like they advertised (when they said no taxes) but they would not. I am really disappointed and feel cheated. I bought from them because they were a couple of dollars cheaper than another website, but now I ended up paying $30 more. They do not warn you about this and do not make it clear that you will be subject to these additional taxes because they know if they did tell you no one from the US would buy from them. I feel ripped off & cheated.
I originally trusted this site because they were prompt to answer any questions I had (MANY) and they were super friendly. These were my first pair of designer sunglasses and I wanted to be careful because I knew it was a lot of money to spend if they turned out to be fake. I received my order after only about 5 or 6 days and it was carefully packaged. I was a bit surprising to find that I would have to pay $30 in import taxes although they did inform me of this. (not in the most strait-forward way but nonetheless) I am pretty sure that my sunglasses are authentic, acording to the research I've done, but have yet to visit a registered dealer to confirm. Very happy with my purchase from this reliable site.
Bought jimmy choo sunglasses with free shipping. After receiving them, I received a $33 bill from FedEx. Contacted the company listed as the payee on my PayPal account. They were nice at first but then quickly changed their tune when they saw I purchased through LuxonEyes. Tried to contact luxoneyes through their "contact us" form. No such page. Nowhere in any of the paperwork is there a mention of these fees. Let the buyer know of this fee so they can make an informed decision. Also, the sunglasses came in a case that is meant for regular jimmy choo glasses and not the sunglasses case. I have other jimmy choos so know this isn't right.
After reading the recent reviews for Luxoneyes on this site I was wary of buying my sunglasses from them. Paying $280 for Tom Ford sunglasses that were sold for $480 at the closest Sunglass Hut seemed too good to be true, but I decided to risk it and I was not disappointed.
For starters, the sunglasses are authentic. There's no question about this -- I'm positive that the people who are whining about getting "fake" sunglasses are just being paranoid. The other complaints that I saw were that it takes a while to deliver and that there are "surprise" shipping fees. I live in Canada and it took about two weeks to deliver, and import taxes were approximately $50. It's not perfect, but they're shipping from Italy so I can't say the taxes or the wait time was a surprise.
In total I ended up paying $350 for a pair of $480(plus tax) sunglasses, and I'm pretty happy about that.
Ordered a pair of frames for $399.00. Frames arrived in magnificent box. Upon opening the box, I noticed a plastic sleeve was missing from one of the side ear pieces. I tried the frames on & they were so stretched out they immediately slid down my nose. These were supposed to be brand new, they were not, the frame was very stretched out. I was charged $31.92 for a re-stocking fee, plus I paid the return postage of $13.45. I asked to be credited the re-stocking fee, they would not. They would rather lose a customer. I order many items (including 9 pairs of eye glass frames) on line, & have NEVER been treated so poorly as Luxoneyes treats their customers. I would never purchase a thing from them again.
I have ordered over 6 pairs of sunglasses from this site. The shipping is never more than a week and the sunglasses are very nicely packaged. The last pair of sunglasses I ordered were sent in the wrong colour, however I did not make a fuss of it as the customer service is always super. I see people write comments about additional fees, but whats an extra $20 when you're saving so much on retail price? The ONLY online shop i will ever purchase sunnies from. I think Otticant and luxoneyes are the same company btw. Exceptional!
Great sunglasses. However as US buyer I was hit with Duties, and customs tax by FedEx. It cost me an xtra $30.00 on top of actual cost. I was in contact with customer service. I was told not there responsibility as it says on the website. So... US BUYERS BEWARE
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
For citizens who live outside the European Union, the prices do not include any taxes.
If your country is not in the European Union, your Customs may ask you to pay for the corresponding duties when the items reach your country.
If you want to have further information regarding import taxes, please contact your local Customs or the courier company: Fedex.
These additional charges (duties, import taxes) are the on the customer's charge.
Luxoneyes cannot predict these extra fees. They depend on Customs according to each country' importation policies.
Initially the company was conservative by telling me there would be a wait of 15-20 working days as the sunglasses were not in stock. However, much to my surprise the sunglasses arrived in only 6 working days from Italy to Melbourne, Australia. The sunglasses are 100% legitimate, coming with Burberry case, cleaning cloth and standard info. Additionally, prices were about half my quote at a well known Australian retailer. Strongly recommend this site.
Ur be stupid to purchace from this Company if u can even call it a company! Am from the uk... i order my sunglasses a week before my holiday £220 thinking as its says delivery time 1-2 days i would recieve them by the end of the week... i didn't so i then emailed them to enquire about it and there saying there not in stock will take 15-20 days but it didnt tell me this when i purchased them and no1 even emailed me with this information untill i asked then had the cheek to offer me them in green with is the available colour and wont refund me there now ignoring my emails! I am absolutely disgusted in this company and will be sure to take this a lot further there not getting away with it.
Ordered a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses that were discontinued. They arrived very quickly, and looked great but Sadly, they are fake. AND I was charged a $30 excise tax to boot...
Not pleased at all.
EDIT - after a bit of research and checking around - i found that they were legit, and i was just being paranoid. I'm a little upset about the excise tax still - but glad to get a pair of sunglasses that are not being made any longer.
Gosh, my experience couldn't have been better. Great communication, tracking order sent straight away and order arrived within days (from italy to london). Everything about them seems authentic - certificate, cases, box, etc.
Be careful with this seller. Luxoneyes charges a shipping fee ($11 to the US), but you are likely to get a supplemental bill from the carrier (such as FedEx) for various customs fees and some kind of "processing fee" of $20 or so. The total additional charges in my case ran to nearly $30. Luxoneyes did provide accurate information about when the glasses would be shipped and did notify me when they had been shipped, but they did not remotely disclose how high the extra FedEx fees would be, though doubtless they know perfectly well. I would think twice before using Luxoneyes again.
Ordered it May 1,2013 receieved it May 6,2013. No problems at all. Answered my email, fast shipping (love FEDEX early morning deliveries) and authentic sunglasses. If the sunglasses you ordered is not available it will take long to ship but they will inform you about it. I'm not sure if I need to pay extra for FEDEX overseas shipment, I hope not (crossing my fingers wink) I will definitely order from this site. Thank you for a hassle free transaction! :)
I have been ripped off by them, I placed an order, I was very specific in ordering, But guess what I was shipped? ( nothing that I ordered)! And no refund. They took over $300.00 us dollars from me, and have given me nothing but grief!
Save your money, and a large B/S gimmick from them,
PLEASE SAVE YOU MONEY, DONT GET TAKEN LIKE I HAVE BEEN!
Glasses were not in stock and they needed 15 days for the 'manufacturer' to make them. Once made, they only took 2-3 days by mail to get to me in the states.
PLEASE NOTE:
After looking at the site, i realized they disclose this information under 'shipping' but they don't say anything about it during the buying process. You may think that $10 USD is all you have to pay for shipping but FedEx sends you an invoice for $30 USD for duties, tax, and customs fees. So, just be warned you will pay $40 USD just for shipping of glasses if you're in the USA.
Also, paint on glasses arms does look fake.
Ordered a pair of ladies Oliver Peoples sunglasses for $308.00 vs $367.20 at Saks. After adding additional undisclosed custom duties and fees totaling $32.44 my savings was only $26.76 or 7%.
Answer: Hi Jaidev, I strongly suggest you find a different company for your eye wear. This company is a fraud. I can show you documentation proving such - even as far as documentation from the manufacturers of the glasses themselves stating very clearly luxoneyes.com is not an authentic vendor of their glasses. They have hidden fees, etc. You have been warned. Best of luck, Mike
Answer: luxoneyes.com is a total fraud. I had a similar experience, worst company. I am surprised the US still allows them to do business here,
Luxoneyes demonstrates a mixed reputation among customers, with notable strengths in product authenticity and prompt shipping, often delivering within a week. Many customers express satisfaction with the quality of sunglasses and commend the friendly and responsive customer service. However, significant concerns arise regarding unexpected import taxes, lengthy return processes, and issues with order accuracy, leading to frustration among several buyers. The company's marketing claims of free shipping and no sales tax have also been scrutinized, as hidden fees can create a negative purchasing experience. Overall, while some customers report positive experiences, recurring issues suggest a need for improved transparency and customer support.
