He was just plain rude. I've never been in a situation like this before. I don't know anything about Florida child laws, I want to be able to do things and go places with my daughter and don't know what my rights are. He made me feel so stupid and little. As a survivor of domestic abuse from the man I'm trying to get custody away from he absolutely brought me right back down to that dark place. I thought I'd have my questions answered or at least given some advice but no. I'm so sad after that call. As he said, if your kid isn't being molested or living with someone who is on heavy drugs, he's unable to help you and you already have all the rights you need in Florida

I really don't understand how this guy is able to practice law. Especially in the family court system. I hired this man for my son worst mistake I've ever made. Please do not use him. You will regret it. He gives very little information and then when you try to out what is going on with your case he treats you with very little understanding or compassion. Especially for a young father who just had his child stolen out of state. He's a shister that gives no real information and then when you ask about the legalities you are charged. Again I can say enough. Please do not use this man

John DeGirolamo was completely unprofessional with me and my ex wife's attorney and did not live up to his billing as an aggressive family lawyer for men. In all my 54 years of life and 25 years of dealing with attorneys in my prior career, never was I spoken to in such a horrible manner. He is demeaning and condescending and acted bothered by legitimate legal questions I asked of him. Further, I settled my own case without his help. I have never seen an attorney treat his own clients like opposition. I had to remind him often that he works for me. I would never seek out his services again.

One of the worst attorney I've ever worked with. I hired Mr. John DeGirolamo for legal assistance for my business. It turned out to be the worst professional decision. His advice on business matters was terrible. Working with him was often annoying and uncomfortable. Turns out, the guy has no real understanding or experience with corporate law, he's an insurance attorney.

I would never... NEVER advise anyone to work with John DeGirolamo. Not only for his lack of expertise and maturity, but also his attitude. In short, the advice I got was BAD and I ended up losing money and time. I had to change my counsel and undergo the whole process again.

Recently we ended up with a very bad experience with attorney John G DeGirolamo. I wasted my time and money on his so called legal services.

I had a very unpleasant experience with the attorney. I hired him for a defense matter but as the time progressed I was asking myself why i chose him over others. He is quite inexperienced attorney. I'm not sure about his skills and abilities for a defense matter. He called himself an aggressive attorney but he is nothing more than an Insurance lawyer. Think twice before hiring John G DeGirolamo as your attorney.

STAY AWAY FROM HIM. Puts on a great front to reel you in to sign the retainer agreement. Does not refund unused retainer balances. Very expensive. After 4 months, we had achieved nothing of significance, and I was out $ 11,000. After I fired him, he refused to provide new counsel with the files and evidence I had provided to him. And, I had to do all the work again. I ran a multimillion-dollar business for 20 years, and I never encountered an attorney with as much disdain for his client. He would actually yell at me when I asked a bonafide question and I had to remind him many times that I was his customer and not the other way around. AGAIN, STAY AWAY FROM HIM.

I paid you $1,750, and after you disrespected me 5 days later, I demanded a full refund. You take people money and then treat them very condescendingly. You openly admitted you've done nothing on my case, so what entitles you to keep my money? That's theft. And instead of doing the right thing and giving me my money back (after offering NO services) your going to attempt to justify your actions with a rude or arrogant reply. It's a simple "conflict of character " and I rather not use you. That's my entitlement along with the refund of my money. I thought your reviews to be legit, but after dealing with you for only a week I now know they are "spoofed" at best, that's so fraudulent. Speaks volumes for your character. I filed a complaint with the Florida bar and it's being reviewed. I also contacted (40 under 40 association) which is only a "membership anyone can purchase ". After doing my own research on you I find you've not only been incarcerated but you also have mugshots on the internet where you've broken the law multiple times. Your integrity is highly questionable. A real man of good faith and character would return my money.

My experience with this so-called human being was horrifying, I have never encountered anything like it. Extremely condescending, rude and down right angry towards me. He offered no help to me only called me names and told me to put my big girl pants on! This thing needs serious help, completely abusive, there are not words to describe what I experienced with IT...that's how terrifying my experience with him was. This man is completely abusive to women and was verbally abusive to me, I am talking about him screaming over the phone at me. He did nothing but scared the crap out of me, called me names and did nothing to help me or to guide me through the process I was going through NOTHING! 5K and I was treated like dirt. Thank God the case was dropped and I didn't have to deal with him but I asked for partial refund because he did nothing but abuse me and he said... YOU TXT ME AGAIN AND I'M CALLING 911. RUN FROM THIS PERSON.

I would recommend staying away from him. I wasn't satisfied with his service. I would've been better off in my case representing myself.

First off, this guy has a criminal rap sheet including theft I wish I saw first before foolishly hiring him. I know lawyers aren't known for being saints, but this guy is 1 of the most unpleasant, pretentious, and snide persons I've ever dealt with. It's not that he's assertive. He's flat out rude and condescending. As if divorce doesn't suck already, having to deal with a completely pompous, arrogant, and dishonest lawyer like John D is just the icing on a crap cake. A year ago, after calling around to different divorce attorney offices without much success, John immediately answered. (He's not going to let money pass him by). I was in a horrible and vulnerable situation after my ex took our new business and bled me financially dry and against my better judgement, went with John since he was prompt, had surprisingly decent reviews and he talked a good game like he could help me.
I've now had write a complaint against him and make the decision to terminate his "legal services" after $5400 and a year of trying to achieve a divorce with zero children or property involved because I cannot give another cent and minute of my life to this totally hubristic, and nasty person. If you're a woman in my situation, I implore you keep searching. He told me he markets to men because "men are stupid". (I have that conversation recorded John, so don't try to deny it on here.) So obviously this guy will say whatever he thinks you want to hear in his initial phone call, and once he has your money, kiss the professionalism, any dignity, and very basic human etiquette skills goodbye. His attitude is so gross, I had to have family speak to him on my behalf, and they were also appalled at his ridiculously rude and defensive demeanor after pooling money for his fees, and him demanding another $1500 on top of the $5400 to "keep helping me". Again, after a year with no kids or property. He hung up on them and had the audacity to make an invoice with the intent to charge 30 min/$175 for that 9 min phone call while tacking on "file review". (I have these records and 2 witnesses to that phone call John, since I know you will try to lie and rebut this to save face.) So if you do decide to go with John DeGirolamo for God knows why, make sure you keep every single phone, email, and text record, and record every verbal conversation because after a year of experience with him, I can now say I don't find him to be trustworthy with his withdrawals and recitations of events, he would only rudely contact when the retainer, again, needed replenishment, after several days of my emails being ignored, and he straight up lied about recounts of his words he spoke, while turning it around and accusing the people who are paying him. Absolutely shameless. Perhaps he pays to suppress his negative reviews on the big sites.
