In early April 2011, I ordered a flower girl dress from Fashionlande.com Almost two months later I received a dress, but it was in a ball rolled together, the material was cheap, the stitching was off and not lined properly, the color was completely off and it DID NOT look anything like the picture. I cannot find a telephone number nor an address to return it to. There was no return label or receipt in the plastic bag they sent it to me in. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY AND ITS A FRAUD!

Tami N. @ Louise.....after reading all the bad reviews I was skeptical about using this mob, however I decided to bite the bullet and place an order as I could not afford the 4-500% markups in a shop.

Anyway on 18 June I ordered my wedding gown, bridesmaid dress, 2 flowergirl dresses and mother of the bride dress. Total order including freight $550 tho silly me should have bought in USD and saved even more. The dresses turned up today - 2 days shipping from China - can't even get a letter in Australia this quick. That was normal service and not a rush order.

The dresses are sensational and am glad I didn't heed all the bad reports. Only 2 minor problems - the sash on 1 of the flowergirl dresses has a tiny hole (looks like a scissors nick) not much bigger than a pin head and you can't notice as it is in a fold and my gown has what looks like a machine oil spot on it so will have to have it dry cleaned before the wedding.

Similar dress to mine in a store in Brisbane $480 and took 8 weeks for it to be made (probably in China) - Fashionlande $87

Louise C. Hello to all who are planning on using the Fashionlande site. I am so happy with the bridesmaid dresses that I received. They came in five weeks and look just perfect. The only thing that I could fault was the packaging, all folded up into a small package and will require to be ironed or steamed. BUT - all in all after reading all the bad comments I really have nothing bad to say about this website and would recommend it to anyone. Brilliant cost as I have saved over £150 on dresses I was originally going to go with. Louise is happy ! :o)

The dress is amazing and worth the wait, I took the view that I wanted them to take their time and make a good job and not rush it. Good luck, Im sure you will receive your dress.

Amanda P. So I received my dress for a total of 38 days...not noted until now on their site that it takes this long...I received the dress without the pockets displayed in the picture on the site. Have sent them two emails with no response. Pathetic, it is not worth my time to seek legal actions. But I do have plan on bashing them to no end via the web and making it known how horrible their communication and customer service is, hopefully saving others from the troubles I have come across with just simply ordering a dress.

Marina W. Hi, Im in NZ and in no way attached to Fashionlande, I ordered a dress for my wedding and was pretty scared as I have seen some chinese dresses and they are some times a bit cheap. I dont think you can expect to much. anyway I was amazed by how wonderful it was. It was custom made and fitted perfectly, however I did have my measurements made by a professional dress maker and she gave me lots of advice about what sort of product to order as some dresses are just not appropriate to buy without trying on - especially strapless dresses. In NZ wedding dresses start from $1500 and if you want beading or empbruidery you pay at least $2500 so to get a dress for $250 was amazing.

In the nicest possible way, not to sond too mean, I have seen a few pics of the dresses those above are happy with and I feel... this will sound mean, but they are easily pleased, I don't believe that the material, style or quality reflect the image of the dress that they actually fell in love with to begin with. Perhaps they waited in anticipation for so long, the overall receiving of the dress which was probably shock, stunned some into believing it was actually what they ordered. They neither seem to fit where they should, flow like they ought to or photo very well. I have kept these honest thoughts to myself but feel obliged to share my thoughts as this is still up for discussion.

Marina W. I think the point you have so clearly made is that if you are particular and fussy purchasing on the internet unseen or un tried on is likely to lead to dissapointment.
Im not sure why that comes as a surprise?

If you are realistic and aware that a dress purchased for roughly 10% of the retail price for an equivilent wedding dress is only going to be 90% what you expected and you are willing to take a chance to get a bargain then like me you may get a dress so amazing that your friends cry when they see it because they are so disspointed that their $2000+ dress were not as good.

I am very happy with my dress the material and quality is far better than I could have dreamed, A dress-maker I know was stunned at the level of quality and detail. She said I could not have bought the fabric for the money I paid for the dress let alone make it.

You are entitled to your opinion, however I think it is unfair of you to go slagging of other people who are perfectly happy with what they have recieved.

Amanda P. hmmm...we have millions of people working for us in other countries...none of them look american yet they work for an american company? hmmm wow that is so funny. the deal is they say they have a guarantee & customer service, it is about being honest as a company. it is not about the money, i could care less, it is about the words you speak and keeping true to the, i believe your dress was wonderful. i didnt say they didn't have the ability, I am saying it looks like more often they fail. consumers should know that when they use this site. i am sure the dress is great, i am speaking about the company, their communication, which is fundamental and structure. Overall there are about 3 happy customers per there 100 that is not good business and it should be advocated. Keep fighting against me though it should be commended I mean you were happy so that should be all that matter, why would you care about anyone else.

Why u may ask? well obviously because with my wedding very near i have been searching for a new dress!!!!!!! The dress they sent was a totally diff colour to what i ordered, made to a smaller size than ordered and looked nothing like the dress i ordered. To top it all off the stitching was disgusting and the dress was sown 2gether across the middle. AWFUL!!!!! thankgod for good old BHS. A beautiful stunning dress i now have. Emma H. I have been lurking around this site for a while, after ordering my dress from Fashionlande and must admit I went into a total meltdown when I read the reviews. My dress arrived yesterday 9 weeks after ordering it and about 20 emails - some which were answered some were not - and I love it, it is not sewn wrong, very close to the piucture and the quality is amazing - I am a very fussy person and after reading the comments decided I would hate my dress, and have probably been extra critical with the detail on it. It really is a gamble, but we decided we could loose £94 including postage if the dress was horrific. I live in Oxford, England and do not work for fashionlande - as some people seem to think if you give a positive review. All in all I would recommend to my friends, but advise it is a huge gamble!

I told them I was getting married on Saturday 7th May, which is a lie, we do not get married until August, but I was that worried I wanted my dress ASAP so I could figure out a plan B if needed, but it still took them 9 weeks! Although they shipped it last Friday and I got it by lunch time on Tuesday.

Hi yes my dress was good, I showed it to a friend who is also getting marride, she is more risk adverse than me so ordered a bridesmaid dress, it has now arived, and like my wedding dress it is fantastic quality, she is now going to order her wedding dress. I know its a little scary but one peice of advice I was given was NOT to rush them, they are likely not to be such a big company and if they rush your dress it is more likely to be poor quality. Every one has received something, and there seem to be as many happy people as unhappy ones, from my reading above alot of the unhappy people had unrealistic expectations, remeber you do get what you pay for, and to be honest in this case I think you get a heck of a lot more than you pay for.

It was nothing like I ordered, not badly made or sewn wrong, just a terrible interpretation of the dress I ordered, full length instead of tea length, storage colour nothing like the picture, insured of appliqué flowers and beading as described it was covered in crazy cheap plasticy flowers covered in glitter. However a very sturdy and perfectly fitting dress just not what I expected, my friends were impressed as they didn't know what I ordered but I didn't like it. Anyway unpicked all the flowers (almost 100) altered the straps and now it's a very elegant dress.

T N. what about calling your credit card company? if you give them this evidence, they may be able to issue you a chargeback and then go after the company.

teresa r. i now have sent over 20 e-mails and I continually hit send and resend if everyone were to do this surrely this would send them a message.

I have also sent back the dress even if I waste my 25.00 postage I feel they will get a message. I think from the adderss on the TNT docket they may be using other business addresses This could be against tradng laws too. I have learned my lesson.
My husband also tells me that I should be ashamed of myself as someone somewhere is being paid sweatshop wages to produe this rubbish.
Keep your money in your own country. Do not buy from this poor company

I sent registered post and also have sent the details to Paypal who have escalated my complaint, now have sent a print screen showing the 55 e-mails I have sent. plus scanned all documentation to Paypal do not give up keep resending e-mails surely they will get the message.

I too have ordered a wedding dress which came with an uneven layers and hemline, original detail displayed with made poorly and substituted with detail that I am not happy with and do not even get me started on the bridesmaid dress I ordered - atrocious!!! I have tried to make lots of contact with thema dn they do not honour their satisfaction guarantee - instead they ignore all emails sent. I wish I had checked reviews before

Sarah L. I spose it's a question of, do you gamble on this website for a £100 wedding dress and take the risk, or pay the usual grand or so in shops in this country and play it safe. Bearing in mind it is a your big day, but its only one day, you are not very likely to wear it again.

Also if u do get ripped off....dare i say it, nowdays £100 isn't alot of money.

I am going through a terrible time with Fashionlande.com. They won't return my emails. I was suppose to receive my dress in Feb and they won't tell me where my dress is. I hpoe I can get my money back. I never received a dress at all. Very disappionted and let down about the whole thing. Don't trust this site or anything like it.

kristy k. i have waited 8 weeks and still no reply from them..and i just happened to find another website by the name of promlee.com practically identical with a few differences, either they have 2 sites up and running or in the middle of changing their name again!

T N. margie, i'm sure you've read the other people's reviews about this - there may be some helpful advice in those. have you called your credit card company to file a dispute? if you want too long, you won't be able to get your money back (paypal also has a 45 day refutation time limit)

T N. how long has it been? did they send you anything in writing to say they'd refund you? you should call your credit card company. you can't believe that kind of a business will do what they say if they've already misled you.

Evelyn W. It has been 3 months. I paid through PayPal who do have a disputes section. They however state that the purchase was outside their jurisdiction and I have to discuss this further with them personally. They haven't answered my last 2 emails so I am not holding out that much hope.

T N. yikes, sorry to hear this...well, at least you've written this review to let other people know. you could also, if you wanted to, report them to the Federal Trade Commission and to the IC3. they can't get you your money back but they can put these guys on their investigation list, i suppose.

Evelyn W. Yes the only reason I'm posting this is to inform others about them. When I was purchasing the dress I looked for reviews and couldn't find any but now 3 months later there are multiple negative reviews on fashionlande - so the more the better.

you could call your credit card and see about reversing the charge - let them know about the bad reviews you've seen and that you're worried that you're doing business with a fraudulent company.

T N. with all that evidence, you should be able to file a dispute with your credit card and get a chargeback.

April R. I am not a Fashionlande employee... I live in Alabama and just happend to be surfing online and ran across that site then ordered my dress. It turned out good but I do know it may be a 50/50 chance of this happening. But nope... I'm deff not a fashionlande employee.
