I placed an online order for a Sees Candies one pound of custom box of chocolates with my AmEx card. Sees Candies thanked me for my order as it was processed. However it didn't send me an email with an order number. It charged me $1 on the AmEx card for the customary card check and a few days later reversed the $1, but it never charged me for the chocolates. I called the company twice and the Sees representatives told me that in the system there was a different address, a MasterCard instead of an AmEx, no order, and that the chocolates were probably still in the bag. I asked why Sees checked my AmEx if there was no order and they had a MC in the system. The rep replied that Sees did not check my card. She said that my bank checked my card to see how much money I had in my account. The was a huge red flag as an AmEx had been checked not a Master Card. I checked my bag and there were no chocolates in it because the order had been processed. Then I called AmEx which told me that Sees Candies checked my card which obviously passed and that the order charge should have appeared right after the $1 was reversed. As I am afraid that Sees is committing fraud, the AmEx rep told me to check my card closely now and they will resolve the problem if fraud is committed.
Bottom line: I will not receive chocolates for my daughter's birthday, I have to check my card to see if fraud is committed in the next few days, Sees processed an order, did not fulfill it, and charged and reversed a charge on my Amex claiming that they had a Master Card in their system. Sees is inept and dishonest.

Products used:
The order was processed and not fulfilled by Sees Candies. Sees Candies only messed with my AmEx card. They claim they have no order in the system. The company is very dishonest claiming that they had a different address and a Master Card although they messed with my AmEx. Finally, they claimed that the product was still in my bag although the order was initially confirmed and my card was checked and approved.

I ordered 3lbs of boxed chocolate candies from the website for my baby shower. The company had good reviews so I was expecting to give them a 5/5 rating. Unfortunately I can't say that. Most of the chocolates taste like perfume. Seriously! I had couple of people at the party tell me the same thing. I tried all the varieties offered in the box and I was disappointed. Most of them taste like I ingested cologne not chocolate candies.

I just wanted to buy some peanut brittle for my Dad for fathers day. He loves the brittle from see's candy and it includes a personalized message of up to 120 characters. Which saves me from writing a card. I just wanted to give these guys a thumbs up for reliability and getting things there on time even though shipping is not free. I've ordered on 3 separate occasions with no problems. They gave me order confirmation, tracking and when it was shipped via e-mail.

See's Candies is great company to purchase corporate gifts from when you want to learn at the last minute that you will not be getting what you ordered and will not be getting a refund until after it's too late to find another option for holiday gifts. We placed a corporate order on 9/15. On 11/20, the day of delivery, we learn that not only was the driver not going to arrive in time but also that the chocolate was left in an unrefrigerated truck for several days in the hot Florida weather prior to the driver being able to drive down to our location. We spoke with a supervisor named Julie who instructed us that our only option was to accept the delivery and tell her none of the chocolate was melted. For context, a truck can reach between 130-150 degrees Fahrenheit, so after a few days there was basically no chance they hadn't melted. As these were gifts, it was not feasible to unwrap and check each one. Later, she called us back to tell us we could refuse the delivery and receive a refund. We refused the delivery and waited the 7-10 business days that Julie said it would take but never received a refund. When we called to check on the refund, we spoke with another supervisor named Theresa who was extraordinarily kind. She told us that Julie left a note that said she was unable to get in contact with us to see if we wanted a refund or a new delivery. Additionally, although they had record that we refused the delivery, they could not locate the chocolate. We reiterated our request for a refund and waited again before finally disputing the charge on 12/14, about a month after the delivery should have been made and three months after we placed the initial order. Only yesterday did we receive an email from Theresa letting us know they finally found the chocolate and could submit for my refund. I feel like if you have record that we refused the delivery, your team misplacing the order afterwards should not prevent you from initiating a refund. I had neither the chocolate nor the funds just before the holidays and very little time to put together new gifts for our clients. I appreciate Theresa's attention and help, but overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I will be closing my personal and corporate See's account and making sure our company does no further business with them in the future.
