Had 9 windows installed very professionally installed. No complaints on that. Winter came and I felt like the windows were opened. They never put in the weather strips. Like you didn't think I needed that living in NY. After getting the strips installed still drafty. What a waste of money they only look nice my heat bill still high not saving much. I have 8 more windows to do and it won't be with this company.

We needed one egress window & a sliding glass door replaced and living in MN the big name is Andersen. Their commercials say all stages will be done by Renewal employees-it wasn't. First our window was not ordered properly so we had to deal with 2 installs weeks apart. Which forced us to move our staining appointment out a month. The egress window (which was installed by people with Andersen shirts) was installed with the wrong hardware, discovered by our city inspector. So they had to fix then the inspector had to come out again. The sliding glass door was installed by a subcontractor with no supervision by Andersen. Many issues: main frame piece had a huge gouge in it, they came back to fix; screw in top frame piece was put in wrong spot so stainers could not properly stain-project manager came to fix then stainers were pushed out another week; after staining the paper tape was removed around the frame we discovered the frame was gaping 1-2 inches from wall. When reported Andersen moved us to the service department instead of project dept even though we were still dealing with the initial install issues. We had to wait another 3 weeks for them to come out AND I had to coordinate stainers return to finish once again. Since report of frame gap no one has contacted us, checked in on status. They even sent us a completion survey even though we still weren't complete. I gave 2 stars for quality of product but installation & customer service are awful. They are high $$ due to their claims of superior service & attention to details and customer needs but they are NOT WORTH IT mainly because those are false claims, at least in my experience. It's been almost 3 months & we still aren't complete. I still can't schedule my window treatment install-pushed back 3 times already.

Horrible experience with Renewal by Andersen of Florida. Have a major issue with installation of new pool slider that was incorrectly located and installed and also still have a torn screen that they installed. The other deficient items were fixed and the service team said that the back pool slider had been incorrectly located and installed. My wife and I have called multiple times during the past three months to resolve these last two major issues, speaking to many different people saying we are so sorry and our service dept. is way behind then we are promised it will be escalated and someone will call back within a few days but they never do. The actual product is great, but installation and customer service are totally unsatisfactory. This service has been a disaster with no real communication on making it right. We spent over 70K on this project and we are not HAPPY!

From our original contact with Ryan, the design consultant, to the "perfectionist" installers, Zibi and Danny, our experience was wonderful! I would recommend the company, and especially this crew, to any and all!!

In 2018 my home was appraised for new windows by this firm. The cost, based on my last experience over $13,000, was outrageous.

Since that time, until recently I was receiving mailings and emails pushing their windows.

A few months ago, I received another quote from Window World and purchased their window or a third of the Andersen cost.

Now I am getting mails every week. And sometimes two or three emails a day. And every time I block one email address, another address is used.

I have called the Austin, Texas location and emailed to stop with the junk mail with no resolution.

Our French style Patio doors Double pane windows at age of 25 years developed fogging between the inner and outer glass. We got a quote from the local door guy of $900 to replace the windows in the doors.
We saw the classy ad for Anderson on TV about a free quote and figured it wouldn't hurt to get a quote on what it might cost to replace the whole doors.

I called the number and asked if someone could call me with a ballpark estimate, before they came out for on site estimate. She said no and proceeded to make an appointment. The conditions of the appointment that she read to me made me suspect this was going to be a high priced high pressure a sales pitch:
Had to agree to be there as long as one and a half hours.
And to agree all members of the house and all co-owners, spouse, the property have to be present.
(So I'm interpreting this as how they're going to push hard to get a signed contract before they leave.)

The good and bad news news:
The good news: The day before the appointment the actual estimator guy called to confirm the appointment. When I asked him for a ballpark estimate for replacing the French doors, he was honest and willing to give me that. And that saved me and him from wasting our time with a visit.
The bad news: He said that replacing a pair of French doors would run anywhere between $7000 and $11,000.

Here, s the reality check from an independent site that doesn't sell or install door:
"costs. The average cost to install a set of French doors ranges from $2,000 to $5,000. Most people pay $3,500 for a pair of exterior fiberglass hinged French doors. This project's low cost is $1,000 for a single interior vinyl French door with a fixed panel,"
It's quite possible indeed I hope likely at the prices they charge That they would do a good job. But as I say they look like an overpriced high pressure vendor.
After all with the frequent fancy TV ads they run, you, the buyer is paying for their $#*! instead of just for your door. In my opinion you can do a lot better if you need doors windows and dealing with this company.

Tip for consumers:
Would be helpful to know in advance approximately a ballpark range of what they’re installed products are going to cost. So if they’re way out of the ballpark as they were for me you don’t waste your time having them come over.
