Along the way we have lost the "Critique". Pixoto is bringing it back, thank God! The single most important tool in learning photography! Don't get insulted, learn! Beg for an insult/Critique because it isn't an insult at all, it's help from experienced others. Ideas! Improvements! Opening of the mind! Let's grow like we once did. We've went from glass plates packed by donkeys to this amazing future we've stumbled into!
What a pity that PIXOTO has such terrible and incompetent technical support. Since Feb 2nd they have not been able to solve a technical problem with the contest I created. Moreover, PIXOTO approves contests according to a random key, using double standards - what is prohibited for some is allowed for others. And when PIXOTO does not know how to solve the problem, it uses an avoidance technique - it ignores the messages. Very unprofessional, disrespectful and primitive way of treating people. Still I don't lose hope that problems with my contests will finally be solved.

A fantastic place to compare your skills with others. Not to mention the experience once so prized by photographers to better their own work, Is the "Critique" and we earn points for judging. Learn to Critique images, it's addicting!
Most photographers seem to want to know how well they are fairing with their images. Are they good? Are they bad? Not to mention seeing all the top ranked images. Viewing others work is probably one of the best things we can do for our own photography.

Ixoto for a long time and I love that other photographers vote on my photos.
Recently deleted my account - which I had to do by sending them an email, and that gives you an idea how bad this site has become. They stopped adding new features years ago, it has been in constant decline ever since, and is plagued by bugs.
How can you run a site where members have no control over their own images? Unless you do it shortly after upload and before winning awards, you can't delete your own photos!
There are too many people gaming the system by re-uploading the same old images (or very subtle variations of them) time and time again, mis-voting to gain an advantage and other nonsense (encouraged by cash rewards). A shame, as its image-duel system had potential. Avoid.
I enjoy seeing other artwork from around the world no matter the level of photography. It is a good way to find inspiration as well.

Always enjoy seeing everyone's photography and sharing photography. The awards are nice but not the biggest draw to come to the page. For me, it is a great place to share different parts of the world.
