I love this place so much, especially the iced coffee, me and my baseball "teammates" aka lovers come here often and get the rice bowls
Food did not match the menu pictures or the TV ad. Very deceptive advertising. Chicken sandwich was a tiny piece of burnt chicken, 1 small piece of wilted lettuce, no flavor good or bad. Too expensive. So disappointed, will never eat there again. If you have never been there, good luck finding your way around. No staff member offered any assistance. The pink lemonade tasted like a powdered mix and burned my throat.
I've been at Panera customer for 15 years and even worked at the Waltham location. I love my cinnamon crunch bagel but it takes an average of 22 minutes to get it split and toasted because my order goes to the back of the line. My coffee was cold again and they were out of cream, again. I've opened up three Panera stores in our region as a former employee. This is a sad experience.
We paid $8 for an order of Mac and cheese and got one ladle sized scoop… so small it was absolutely unbelievable. The broccoli and cheddar soup used to be really good… but now it just tastes like slime, salt and chemicals pretending to be cheese. We spent $43 and left hungry. I will never give these thieves another cent of my hard earned money. If I could leave zero stars, I would. These crooks need to be put out of business!

I have to say, I enjoyed the atmosphere, but disappointed in my order. I had soup in the bread bowl. I would like to know, the bread that was remove, why wasn't it on my plate. I actual had 7 teaspoons of soup, not much for the money that was spent. My strawberry mint lemonade tasted like water and not even a taste of mint. My recommendations try given people the bread from inside to help fill them, and put soup to top of the bowl. Add mint and some sort of sweetener to lemonade, and this order would have been the bomb.

Had a chance to try the Greek Salad and I was greatly disappointed, what you get for the money looks like they're not even trying, I hate to see any business close but I'm afraid that's eventually what will happen with Panera if they don't change their corporate culture

Went to Panera Bread in Village Walk location in Henderson NV and ordered a Bacon Egg Breakfast Sandwich, when I finally got my order, the bacon was burned and over cooked, when I asked if I can have a better Bacon, a Manager named Dylan, with no Customer service personality stated that, that's how we cooked our Bacon.
It doesn't even get a star!
I had a piece of hair in my sandwich at Plainville Massachusetts location today. She didn't even say sorry, rolled her eyes and I went to the front to complain! Worse experience I have ever had. I know it's the holiday season, BUT say sorry about the hair don't roll your eyes at me!
Front end did great and gave me a full refund of my u pick 2, and said sorry, believe they made her wear a hair net, because she kept flipping her hair still!
Ridiculous! I won't be back.
Tip for consumers:
The lady putting the food out with black hair should be fired for not even caring and keep flipping her hair !
They should have stuck to their original vision. They have expended the menu to the point of needing to sacrifice fresh quality items to alot of processed junk. Bread is still great, at least what I've recently tried. Ordered a roasted turkey sandwich. Nice thick cut italian bread, tomato slices, red onion, some mixed greens on top of highly processed " turkey". Like the really cheap lunch meat at the grocery. So I tossed the turkey and had a veggie sandwich. Last visit for me Panera
This place was so bad I wanted to throw up. It was so expensive for 4 people. Never go here unless you want some trash $#*! food.
Tip for consumers:
Dont go

We paid $14 for a small bowl of teriyaki chicken and broccoli Bowl we paid $7 for one small scoop of chicken and rice the price there is ridiculous it is not worth the food that's for sure you guys need to lower your prices because your food's not worth it. Like someone else said we paid $35 and were still very hungry.
If you want a bread sandwich this is the place. My wife and I both got the Black Forrest Ham & Gouda Melt. It was a couple of the thinnest pieces of ham you have ever seen, folded over with a mist of sprayed on gouda cheese on a baguette so dense and tough that I was happy that I didn't pull out some teeth eating it. In today's world of fast food where they mainly want to sell you bread. Panera takes it to a whole nother level.
A mom friend of mine was FIRED because the manager at Panera didn't want to have to cover her shifts when she went on maternity leave. NOT ONLY THAT, the manager complained about having to find a bigger uniform to fit her pregnant belly! The manager said, and I quote,"I had to go to the big people store just so your belly wouldn't be hanging out." Their food sucks, their customer service sucks and the people working there SUCK!
Darius is the new manager at the Panara bread on 98th & University.
I was sick and didn't want to expose myself by coming in to grab my food. Bc it was New Year's Day, I believe the drive thru was not an option so I called and they made an exception and brought my order to my car. Darius, the new manager, not sure if I am spelling his name correctly but would not take my card or payment for the meal. He just said it was free! And told me to have blessed day! Oh my word. That is a great way to start the new yr! Being sick over the holidays was a bummer, and I didn't have the strength to go to the store and buy ingredients and make chicken soup. But Darius gave me and my husband would needed dinner after work, two free meals, on the house! I'll be shopping at this particular Panara breads from now on! Bless you Darius!

You'd think with all the great music out there they could have some consistently good music, but no. So much of the new stuff is not.
I don't know why I keep purchasing food here. At this point I do it to myself. None the less, Panera Bread is probably the worst bang for your buck on the market. Everything...and I mean EVERYTHING is overpriced. Even for inflation standards. You want a small CUP of mac & cheese? $9 including tax. Just a bowl of soup alone can cost you up to $11 for something that their minimum wage workers had to pour out of a plastic bag and put in a microwave (I mention their employees pay because you would think what they charge for the food, they would be paying them a livable wage). I know that food advertisements are often embellished and it is very rare to receive food that looks like the picture, but MY GOD does this company skimp out. For the price of a $15 sandwich you would think they would give you your moneys worth...wrong again. Countless times I have ordered a sandwich and something was missing from it or had barley anything on it. If it was one or two times, ok. It happens. But at this point it has to be a supply chain issue that the company clearly doesn't care to fix. I would steer clear of ordering anything off their menu that isn't a cookie or a simple duet meal. Still overpriced, but a TAD more consistent in quality. Good place to study, horrible place to spend your money. You would get more enjoyment setting your own wallet on fire.
I go here all the time disappointed now I bought a pecan braid. It was a walnut braid not happy. Any way to save money.
I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Chicken with extra chicken for pickup. After picking up my order, taking it back to work and opening the bowl, it was disgusting. They put all the wet ingredients as extra and NOT the chicken. My food was DROWNING in hummus, the tahini dressing, and Greek yogurt. It was completely inedible and I had to throw it out. Unfortunately, I couldn't take the order back to the store because of 1. Inconvenience and 2. Time and distance. I don't know if I'll be ordering from this store again. It was a waste of time and money.
The full turkey/bacon sandwich ($11.89) not even near its value per protein inside! Too much salad as filler. The Napa Chicken almond half sandwich, a disaster. Barely found couple of pieces of chicken! Wow! Soups too watery.
$35 order shouldn't even cost $20.
Too much water & salad as fillers. Mobile pick-in order took 7 extra minutes to complete. Can't go again...
Took our family for lunch. Spent $100 and people left hungry. The serving sizes have been reduced to ridiculously small portions. In the past a salad would satisfy a normal appetite. Not these days. Won't be back.
Being a worker there is hard especially when working with those teenagers. All you hear at night is $#*! talk against the customers and other employees. I don't work there but I know the baker and they say very terrible things about her and call her names. As well as the customers I've had to pick up my friend a couple of times at night and she has came out crying. They know my name and they make fun of my name as well. Chillicothe, ohio cafe is the worst I've been to.
My last two visits to Panera will probably be my last ones. On one occasion the bacon on my sandwich was undercooked. The most recent visit my soup was tepid.
Had the mac& cheese with bacon, and it was horrible, could only eat Half of a small serving, considering the prices charged very disappointed
1/2 a turkey sandwich with ONE tiny piece of turkey for $15.30? Really? You've got to be kidding! You can get a way better deal anywhere else. Never ever will I go back!
I would like to first compliment the team at the Orchard Lake and 14 Mile Road store in West Bloomfield. They go above and beyond to satisfy the customers, greet them with enthusiasm, and recognize them and if and when there is a problem with an order, they go out of their way to make it right. Amber and Jennifer and Sue the manager, are amazing in all respects mentioned above. With that being said, I have been to the Panera in Commerce Michigan on Haggerty Road, the one in Troy off of Coolidge, and the store in Farmington Hills off of 12 Mile and Haggerty Roads. I generally do not complain but it happens over and over again that I need to order an order of toast - bread - as I do not like to waste what we cannot eat before it goes bad. The store in Farmington Hills, is consistent and well aware that one order of bread is designated as 2 whole pieces - enough for one sandwich. This is across the board, regardless of what kind of bread is ordered - tomato basil, ciabatta, cracked pepper focciacia, etc. Well, it seems that this known fact is not a well-known fact, as it is almost ALWAYS a problem when visiting the other locations. I have to now always check my bag to be sure that they have given me not two halves, but two pieces- a top and a bottom! I am writing today, as this is my fourth run in with an employee at the Commerce location, who when I ordered 2 orders of ciabatta toast only gave me one piece of bread. I returned to the counter and was very confrontational when I explained. She finally grabbed the bag and threw another piece in the bag - all the while saying that two pieces of bread only means a top and a bottom! This has been the case in at the Farmington Hills location too! Shouldn't there be a common training practice to know what constiutes an order of bread? Like I said, I am all about giving compliments to those that deserve it, whereby the team of employees, whether day or night, in West Bloomfield are stellar, but it is beyond the pale to continually have to explain and almost fight with employees who do not know or are misinformed at other locations. We spend a lot of money throughout the year at Panera and will continue to do so. We love the quality of Panera, and that consistency does not change, the dining room experience is wonderful at all locations, and for the most part, the employees are courteous and friendly, but I finally decided to let you know, that something that seems so insignificant as a bread order, has reached it's limit. I will go 5 miles out of my way to only visit the location in West Bloomfield so I do not have to get in a harangued conversation with one of the other employees again. It would be appreciated that you train your employees to know the menu and not get into a disagreement with a patron. That is poor customer service! Thank you for your time and attention!
Tonight we had a sandwich, a pick 2 and 2 sodas for $37. I left no tip. And I had to bus my own table. We were forced to sit at a tiny table because many of the booth were occupied by a single person setting up a home office nursing a drink. Although the food is good, It is not worth the price in my opinion.
Pathetic service. Bread for Sandwich / bread for soup is always finished before an hour. They just don't care when we tell them.
