“Perhaps the worst deal you could get on a sovereign...”

Perhaps the worst deal you could get on a sovereign bond in the world. Japanese Government Bonds (JGBs) pay basically nothing, and I think the Japanese economy is in trouble since their population is so old and their economy so sclerotic. It's hard to imagine why anyone rational would buy these things.
