If you are old and you remember that video games used to be based only in text, you will remember Zork. Infocom has kindly allowed us to download all of their old school games for free. Go ahead and show this to your kids and tell them this is where it all started. Sure now they play world of warcraft and can't understand the concept of a text based game--show em how it all begin.
