I bought three Amaryllis bulbs at three times the price of the already-potted ones in the supermarket. The supermarket bulbs always sent up 2 to 3 stems of flowers. Their catalog says they'd bloom with 2 or more stalks. Nope. Two sent up one nice stem with a 2nd tiny stem. The third bulb didn't bloom at all... though the foliage is very healthy.
The company did not have the courtesy to respond to two emails I sent to them several weeks apart.
Be warned! Product is not like the catalog says!
I paid for a pre-order of $75 worth of spring bulbs. I selected Sept to have my bulbs sent because I live in a hot climate and need to put the bulbs in the fridge for 2 months, so I can plant in nov/dec. October came, no bulbs no communication. I emailed and was told they were late and be shipped next week. Few weeks later nothing. I ask to cancel my oder. Email ignored. NO REPSPONSE. I sent 3 other emails asking to cancel. I had to buy bulbs in a rush from another shop. They arrived and I put them in the fridge. Nov 7 I get an email letting me know Dutch Grown shipped my late order which I asked to cancel 4 times. They took no responsibility for their delay, took my money, and ignored my communications. They just wanted my money. A company that has no interest in satisfying their customers or doing what they said they would do - Get bulbs to you on time.
Tip for consumers:
DutchGrown charges you well before your order is sent. Instead of charging you when your order is actually sent, they charge you on pre-orders so you have no recourse if their order is sent late, there's nothing you can do about it. They ignored all of my emails regarding cancelling or refunding my order.

I ordered bulbs and plants online from about half a dozen companies this fall. This company stood head and shoulders above the rest, for both quality and shipping practices. All of my bulbs were perfectly fresh, plump, healthy, mold free, and of good size. They were shipped in a well ventilated plastic crate, which is a genius idea. Most companies ship in taped-up cardboard cartons, and almost always there will be some mushy, blackened bulbs in there because bulbs don't like to be handled that way. I would order from Dutchgrown.com again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
As of 11/8 no response. I ordered $120 of bulbs on April and they charged me immediately. They shipped me a small, incorrect shipment in September. They have not responded to my requests to ship my correct order. Totally incompetent.
