“I honestly had a wonderful experience with this website”

I honestly had a wonderful experience with this website. I did not look at reviews before hand, but everything worked out for me fine. Not once was I asked to buy anything extra, nor call to confirm my order. Bought a 160.00 digital camera and that's what they charged me for and had it to my door in two days. Maybe I just got lucky, but I loved the site and the price. My wife loves her new camera too.

“Please do NOT buy anything from this site, they will...”

Please do NOT buy anything from this site, they will try and up sell you and trick you into buying more expensive equipment. If you see a low ball price, run as fast as you can. If you do not listen to the people posting here, I can guarantee you will be calling your credit card company like I did.

Guys, get a clue... this site is meant to rip people off. Sometimes if a price is so low that it seems like a dream come true, then you know you are about to get screwed. This site is an obvious scam with the usual bait and switch tactics.

If you are shopping for photography equipment and you want a rock solid deal, then stick with BHphotovideo or Adorama, I think both have received great reviews here on SiteJabber. The only other place I have sometimes found killers deals on photography equipment is Dell of all places. If you are on Dell's email list, they often send out 20% off coupons and you can use them on camera equipment. Believe it or not I used my 20% off Dell coupon to by my Canon 5D for 20% off... NOBODY was able to beat that deal.

I took at look at this site and while they may be just another one of those NYC photo gear scam sites out there, I bet they actually do ship some of the products they sell online because THEY COST MORE THAN BEST BUY! Take this for example, Canon 5D MII for
List Price: $2,999.95
Our Price: $2,899.00
Hello?!? I can go down the street to Best Buy and they have it for $2599. Maybe this site is a scam, but if they are trying to rip people off they are not doing it with fake low prices as some of their prices are ridiculously high!

86photovideo.com Do Not Buy Anything from this site, Total Scam artists - 86photovideo.com
You Could Be Running A Credit Risk if you Buy From This Site, it is the Worst site ever, they lie to you and say that your merchandise is in stock but it is not, they take your personal information and then run the scam that it is back ordered because it is a whole sale kit, However on their website they state that it is the same as retail and give no differences. The item will never be in stock, they rope you into buying extra camera batteries that are 110% more expensive that what you can get retail. So you end up spending 100's of dollar more that what the camera is worth. Their customer service and other staff are rude and obnoxious when you complain or try to cancel your order they yell at you and hang up on you. This business should be sued for false advertisement and unethical/ possible illegal business practices. They should at lease be audited by SEC and other regulatory business organizations. It is a serious risk to buy anything from this site, They now have your personal info and you are now at risk from them selling it and using it.

DON'T BUY FROM THIS SITE AT ALL! AT ALL. - I purchased a camera from this side despite of one review I read. The review stated that they lure you in with a lower price (sometimes the lowest) and then after you place the order you'll receive a phone call from a man asking you to upgrade to a package deal. The package deal with a few cheap accessories, of course, jacks the price up to the camera's regular price and more.

I thought to myself, maybe this was a unique incident to that customer. Maybe they're exaggerating. So I placed my order hoping for a camera that is less expensive than the rest. I received an e-mail showing my order confirmation and a paragraph that states I will need to call their office to confirm the order. (Heart beats faster.) I called the number but I got the voiicemail after a few rings. I wondered then if they normally don't answer the phone. I left a message confirming my order and, worried I'm going to get suckered into other accessories, I also said that I did not need anything else with my order because I already have everything I need. I received a phone call the next business day from a guy and he mentioned the package deal. I courteously refused and he told me that my camera will be shipped in one to two business days. (sigh of relief) The following day I received another e-mail. Except this wasn't the shipping invoice I was expecting. It's an e-mail stating that the camera is out of stock and will not be shipped until it has come back in. I called and asked the guy why they can't mail me the camera that's a part of the package deal. He said no the camera they have is only for the package. If I want the camera they have on stock then I need to buy the package with accessories. I told them I'll wait and then I asked when will it be in stock again. The guy said it could take up to THIRTY days. Afraid that I can get charged at any moment since they have my credit card number, I did not purchase another camera and went on my vacation with a borrowed camera that turns out took only blurry pictures. After I got back from vacation I waited a couple more weeks to see if they're going to still deliver it and still worried they'll take the money out. I'm sad to say this camera is not going to ever arrive and I'm left very disappointed. Please don't order from 86th photo and video (location, New York)

Mark-up scam ripoff, To began with I recently order a Garmin Nuvi 885T
GPS. I received a e-mail stating to call this number *******040 Ext. 202 Brian to confirm my order. However, I talk to this Brian guy, I gave him my order #. He later stated that I forgot to order a Data Card 1Gig or 2Gig price range $99.00 to $124.00, thinking I'm stuck on stupid. He stated I need this to operate the garmin. Considering I didn't want to purchase the Data Card (microSDcard) so my order was canceled. To make a long story short, I'm not new to this, I'm true to this. All I'm saying is simply this, I did my homework prior to this. I went to the Garmin site to check the spec.
Accept data card: microSDcard (not included) This card is for the soul purpose was for music. To make matter worst I already had a Garmin Nivi 360 that I purchased off Amazon.com. I then brought a data card off Ebay. I did the same for this Garmin Nivi 885T, a 4GB Micro SD High Capacity Micro SDHC Card G data card for $11. Buyer beware of 86photovideo.com They quote you lower price & lure you to this site & later to find the price just ain't right.
