Question:

Hi, does your service improve google ranking?

Answer:

Hey Egor, that's a FANTASTIC question. Business listings do help improve your ranking on Google. This has been proven. We and other public studies we've seen estimate business listings are responsible for about 25% of your ranking as a local business. However, it's important to remember that there is a whole other 75% of Local SEO out there you also need to think about at some point. We do encourage people to get started with business listings though since they're a one time cost and they're relatively inexpensive compared to the rest of Local SEO (the other 75%). Business listings are by far the biggest "bang for your buck" in Local SEO and we always recommend a local business start with business listings first. We recommend doing business listings first, giving your Google ranking about 2-3 months, and then based on if you're on the 1st page or not for your keywords, approaching the other 75% of Local SEO at that point. I hope that helps answer your question. If not, post a follow up and I will reply back!

Question:

I was considering ordering yext, but did not like the idea of having to pay annually. how does your company compare on cost and more importantly the services offered. does yext provide any service that you do not?

Answer:

A: Hey Janelle! Great questions. On cost, we're a one time fee vs an annual cost. So we're going to save you a lot of money in the long run. Please refer to our website to get cost details: locallistingninja.com On the services, with Yext if you do not renew annually they say your listings will be "reverted" basically meaning they go back to the way they used to be before you used Yext, which means essentially most of your listings will be gone if they weren't on the sites to begin with pre-Yext. Basically, you are not in control of your listings and you have to keep paying Yext to keep them up there. With us, we submit to more listings than Yext and you actually own your listings and they can't be taken away from you. They're in your name and are there permanently for as long as you choose. You also get access to the listings as well. Yext Powerlistings does not provide a service that we do not besides an online dashboard (although we are working on one) where you can change your listings at any time. With us you have access to your listings and can go in there and change them at any time you wish but you have to change each one individually. We also have a change service where we will change them for you. The theory behind our competitive advantage here is that you won't need to change your name, address, or phone on your listings that often if ever. Why keep paying $500 a year for a privilege you never even use? You could just use our change service when you need to change something and come out much better off cost wise. Does that all make sense?

Question:

Hello, after signing up with you how fast we will se results, phone calls from customers?

Answer:

Hey Gordon, sorry we're just now getting back to you. I was out of town on vacation and Sitejabber is my responsiblity. That's a great question! It typically takes 2-3 months to see the complete results in terms of ranking increases on Google. However, it also depends on how well you've optimized the rest of your SEO. There are over 200+ different factors Google looks at when ranking a local business. Business listings are just 1 of those 200+ factors. However, they are pretty powerful, accounting for about 25% of your ranking. In order to rank as well as possible though, you still need to take care of that other 75% outside of business listings, such as website optimization, online reviews, and backlinks. We have products that will help you with the other portions as well but Local Listing Ninja is just designed to help with local listings. It's an easy, inexpensive way to get started in Local SEO and it's where I always recommend people go to first when trying to rank well on Google. Does that help?

Question:

Answer:

Hey Scott, that's a great question. We do have a different process that gets at least 85% of our citations indexed. However, there does seem to be some level of attrition although it doesn't look too steep. Maybe 4-5 listings don't stay in the index out of the 85% that do? Somewhere around there. We're still running tests to see the full effect of it. We also wonder if Google indexes it initially, does it still count toward your ranking even if they pull it from the index? My hunch is yes, as it creates an impression in the index database at least once but as with most nuances with Google, we can't be very sure. I can say that out of all the listing services that I've tried myself, we by far get the most indexed and therefore, you will get the most bang for your buck with us. Does that make sense?
