Do Not USE Priceline! Not even for a drink of water! Hidden charges, crappy service!

Don't buy flights from 3rd parties, buy directly from the airline, you don't need any headaches or stress if something goes wrong better to work directly with the airline than through a 3rd party

There are better companies than priceline to buy tickets from. Remember with these creepy business, you might be stuck with a bad ticket and worse hotel.

When you use Priceline, you are basically at their mercy regarding any "non-specified" terms. If your condition is only one connection then that's the most you will have. Otherwise you don't have to accept their offer. However, seat selection is not a condition that is available to you. Thus you are at their mercy. For this you will have to be in contact with the carrier(s) that Priceline finds. The good news is that you "may" get a non- stop flight, or you may get a free upgrade to better seating. Most of my dealings have been on car rentals since I have a couple of million miles accumulated. So on car rentals, I've often gotten much better cars than I requested and the price was 40 to 80% cheaper.
But the "uncertainty" of dealing with Priceline is the price you pay for bottom of the line prices.

I became so frustrated with Priceline over the years that I stopped using them. When I did use them, I don't recall being able to choose my seat, but the flights were no more than one stop to my destination. I have used Hotwire exclusively for several years now and always get the best prices and can choose my own seats. Every once in a while, I go straight to the major airline websites and book there.
