How do you get rid of this without paying the 600.00 dollar fee if you break the contract?

Send this form, with an explanation of your reasons, to AT& T. They may let you terminate early at no cost.

They set the cancellation fee so high that people have to stay with it. The best thing to do is just file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office for deceptive practices. Maybe if enough complaints come in they will get sued by the State and as a settlement you might be able to dump the system without fees or you may get part of your money back. Who knows. The problem is when consumers get ripped off especially by these big corporations and treat their consumers with so much disrespect, they deserve all the complaints and lawsuits they get. I have been an AT&T customer for our cell phones for years but when the contract is up again next year, I am cancelling and going somewhere else. I just don't want anything to do with AT&T anymore. They are currently being sued for slowing data usage down and I am part of that consumer lawsuit. Sad that these companies don't make enough money off their customers that they just have to continue to rip us off. Good riddance to AT&T, I just may cancel the service and pay the fees just to not have to deal with these idiots.

Wait until you are murdered by an intruder. My system hasn't worked since the day they installed it and they still won't let me out of the contract. I notified them the day of installation. The couldn't send a tech out for over 2 weeks so now I am outside of the remorse period.
