Could you determine whether any of the users you contacted or contacted you were real? I signed up but did not "upgrade" to a paid subscription. So far, there has been quite a list of users who have contacted me, not all of them seem like "elite" profiles based on their photos and bios. Interestingly, you can read incoming messages if you click "mark all messages read". The software allows non paying customers to read messages that have been marked read.

Anyway, it would be interesting to know what percentage of users are real.

What other online dating sites are bogus? Is there a list of credible ones?

On a more real level, I have a close friend who actually gets dates but he's discovered that most of the girls take advantage of nice guys by telling them right away after actually meeting them face to face that they're "starving" and the poor and desperate guy who is all-too-willing to impress forks out his hard earned dough at a fancy restaurant only to never see the girl for a second or third date--also, there goodbyes on the first are usually cold and standoffish.

Some of the gals have to be real. I only communicate with the ones that have a private album and then only if they give me their key. Had some success there, just saying.
