I too very nearly fell for this SCAM! I'm just glad i looked into it more before sending my £55 to them.

A big thank you to all that posted their comments about this.

This company should not be allowed to get away with this, some poor sod/sods will fall for this SCAM. How do we go about reporting this?

There is a housing association round the corner from sainsburys i checked on postcode finder and that housing association comes up as 54 blossom street york but i too was about to send my money until i did a check on companies house and the domain and since it is a big nationwide company is it just me that finds it strange that domain was only registered a week before everybody saw this job also emailed them to say if they wanted me to work for them they can take £54.95 out of my first wage - never pay up front to do a job

Wow... i got a lovely text message from easydrop this morning which was kindly letting me know they had emailed me. It came up as not a new number, but 'easydrop' as if i had added them into my contacts as a dear friend.
Nice one.
Not dodgy at all... ha

Ive now had a reply from senditnow.com. Senditnow.com are an internet based division of Parcelforce. They say that although Mailboxes do sell Parcelforce Worldwide services they do not and can not sell senditnow.com services although as i previously wrote senditnow.com are mentioned by easy-drop.co.uk in the terms and conditions section of their website. They also advise NOT to send any money. I have also had a reply from easy-drop.co.uk regarding why they use a mailbox address. The answer. Because its safer for sending cheques and postal orders. Yes but safer for whom.

Following on from my post - I was easily able to register, so cannot understand why Easy Drop could not post a response also?

I also contacted easy drop and when they responded saying they wanted £56 I said that as I would be in York on Thursday or Friday I would pop into their office and introduce myself and pay the £56 in Cash, they have not replied! Why let me guess, they are not at the address in york that they quote it is a mail forwarding address. Pete in Derby

The price appears to have gone up quite considerably as you will see from the following extract from the letter I recieved only 2 weeks ago!

"The amount that you will need to pay is £85.00. This amount will cover all your uniform and stationery needs for twelve months. Basically what will happen is; if any part of your uniform or stationery stock runs out or needs replacing just let us know and we will get replacements to you. Please remember that all of this charge can be fully claimed back through expenses so in real terms it will not cost you a single penny"

It will be interesting to see if Jim M gets a refund however returning £56 (if they ever do)seems a small amount to pay back to realise huge potential earnings from the huge number of us seeking employment. After all they have a potential target group of some 2 million plus!

It will be interesting to see if

When i applied to this company for a job i thought it was too good to be true also, i wrote to them via email to ask various questions like, can i use my own car, when would i be able to start, can i pay by card over the phone, how soon after starting would i get paid, and finally what guarantees would there be of actually getting the work... guess what... 3 weeks later and im still waiting for a reply... I tried ringing the 0845 no that they supplied on there sight on more than 1 occasion and its just an answer message no one ever seems to answer, it starts off by saying thankyou for calling easydrop we are currently receiving a high no of calls at this time while you are waiting press 1 for this and 2 for that etc etc etc... SO GLAD I DIDNT SEND THEM ANY MONEY...

I paid the money without thinking that it would be a scam as I only live off £40 a week on no benefits. After numerous emails I received a reply that the date was put forward to the 18th and that my uniform would arrive as late as Monday (today). Guess what no uniform! I've tried to send another message this morning to info@easy-drop.co.uk as usual and now the message comes back as failed. So now it looks like they have stopped this email address.

I feel like such a mug I sent my money off I even gave them my debit card no they called me back to say i needed to re submit it and I did. I only found out about this scam today as I e mailed them this morning for an update and got an automated e mail back explaining they were not a scam I could not believe it.
I cant believe I have been so stupid but I only have myself to blame what mug sends money first, Oh yes that must be me!

Your not the only one who did it. I sent £85. You can't get refunds from cheques. So thats a lot of money wasted. It just seemed like such a great start for my partner who was really down about work and thought with my heart not head.

I just don't get why they have sent those emails about getting a refund on Monday. I'd written them off then that came out of the blue. The only thing I can think of is that they're trying to put other peoples mind at rest to help others fall into the trap.
