I have never purchased a puppy online before and am curious as to how the process normally goes. A main concern is about payment methods such as cash wire transfer, is this a typical form of payment when making such purchases online?

No, that is not a safe way to send money. A reputable breeder should ask for a deposit through a different means, such as a check through the mail or paypal. Some even accept credit cards. Whichever the method is, you should have some recourse to be able to get your money back if anything goes wrong or the breeder doesn't make good on his/her promises. (This review is being left by a breeder).

From Enterprise Collies Of Distinction: Talk to the breeder. Ask questions. We only take personal checks and cash. We give a genetic guarantee. Too many scams out there on both sides.

GET OUT OF THIS WEBSITE! Fortunately, I didn't lose any money this time, but these guys were working real hard to scr@#@#w me, but they failed this time. Names to watch out for: Alex Jones, phone numbers: (Alex Jones 406-258-7882), the shipping company (623-295-9129).
The shipping company said they only take Money Gram and do not accept credit card - BIG RED FLAG!
These guys are real Aholes.
Watch out Keely...
