I have an AmeriGlide Vest stairlift installed about 3 years ago and it has stopped working at the top. If the rocker switch is pressed to go down a number 9 appears on the display...but without the top horizontal element illuminated. If the rocker sw is pushed to go up a 3 is illuminated indicating that the upper limit is reached which is correct. Any ideas??

I would check:

1. For some sort of obstruction in the tracks. These units auto shut off with anything in the tracks; or

2. A wire connector under the seat worked loose; or

3. The traveling wire in the tracks, under the chair unit became jammed. Again, any obstruction, and it shuts off.
