Doesn't alibaba guarantee the transaction by holding your money until you actually receive the product and give your ok to release the money? And alibaba asks customers to send money through western union to alibaba- is this safe?

This is what they tell you but in fact it doesn't happen. Alibaba only look after their traders. The traders buy gold supplier stars like we buy lollipops. Gold star supplier means nothing. Ghangzou Mega Beauty firstly showed 3 stars, the following week 4 stars, following week 5 stars and the next week 6 stars. I complained to Alibaba who don't care as long as they get the money. Now DHGate do not release the payment until you receive your goods. Buy from DHGate to ensure you are not scammed.

Alibaba Trade Assurance is a scam. Nothing works that you order! No refunds!

Xiamen Reliable Garment Co
Start with small orders, and go through Trade Assurance. I am not sure if it matters with all the bad reviews on TA.

Don't put a deposit down without seeing a sample. Many of the items they have online they have never made. It will be there very first time making it, and they use the cheapest material they can find. They don't care because they try very hard to get you to pay a deposit first. Once they get the deposit you are out of luck. They will take two months to send samples, and samples will be different than on their website. Also, they don't use the material they advertise on their websites. It is the cheapest for them.

They overcharge for shipping. Beware.

I wired money and the product shipped was a joke. They sent a quality sample ( which I paid a fee from). But the production units were crap. Classic bait and switch. I wish I used the pay pal approach

Won't use Ali rob Ya again regardless

You are not allowed to open carton to see if your product is really there. The carton is unmarked and no packing list of contents. The shipper company can have put rocks in carton. The minute you sign is the legal purchase and money is transferred without recourse.
