I asked the question: Also, after a cursory glance, I don't see any mention (it could be hidden somewhere) of LinkedIn. Does this matter in the Dream Job 'approach'? If not - and I decide to go for it and apply as much of what you teach in Dream Job (I think I will be binge learning this w/e) to applying for this Job in some way shape or form - what should I do about my LinkedIn profile?
The part 'what should I do about my LinkedIn profile?' is the question I wanted answered...
I got the answer: LinkedIn is covered in Dream Job, for instance if you go to the Playbook Discover Your Dream Job, you will find The Street Technique: Finding Your Dream Company on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is an important piece to finding your Dream Job.
I watched all the dream job videos yesterday - yes, it covers how to use LinkedIn to research your dream job, but it doesn't really cover what to do re your LinkedIn profile. I didn't really find mention of this factor in the Resume/cover letter videos either. Is one to assume that the content should be 'exactly' the same as what's in the resume? Or is there a particular way to tailor one's LinkedIn profile to get the best results?
I don't really feel the answer I got, or the content I was pointed to answered my question. It would have been helpful if it answered it directly - as in - yes, we cover that, or no, we don't cover that.
It is possible that I missed something while I was taking notes during the videos - so forgive me if I've missed the mention/instruction - but if I didn't miss anything, then a more direct answer to this type of question would be helpful :)
