While there was once a sense of hope, that SW would evolve, sadly, it has followed the demise of its predecessors.

Writers have abandoned the site enmasse, leaving the feed with just sadness and occasional dramas.

The site abandoned efforts to preserve the individuality of members. This included eliminating the EP inspired features that use to support many with depression and mental health issues.

Currently it appears to be downsizing to something akin to an aimless social blog.

It has some interesting design aspects and lots of troublesome content.

While originally habit forming, the designer has drifted the site towards a highly locked down european centric paradigm, lacking an essence of the american experience.

This leads to a high turnover of new members and alienation of existing members.

Membership growth appears stalled, with an obvious long-term trend to less serious writing and reduced interaction.

Wall Street should eye this venture cautiously.

New members should dabble, test it and follow their interest.

If you are seeking friendships, romance, humor, alternative points of view and discussion... this is not the place.

Recent design changes have made the site lame.

Overall, I recommend avoiding it altogether.

Tip for consumers:
Site is good for people to test. Just not what it was advettised as.

“Yes, SW has changed so much, and not for the better. It was so much fun in it's earlier days, the administration was so much more involved with everyone.”

The only redeeming feature of this online forum is the solid backbone of veterans from EP....
