These guys are a pak of cunning rogues. They will lure you with a car with all the details you will want to see. It was exactly what happened to me. This guy who I am sure had a fictitious name by the name of Stanley Dean possibly operating from Pakistan sent me pre inspection auction document of a 4.5 grading. Everything seems legitimate and also gave a local contact number who was his previous client. I rang the number and the guy on the end sounded genuine stating he had several cars through him without problems. So sent half deposit towards the vehicle. The problem started with excuses of covid and the bad weather in Japan. It was nearly 10 weeks later I was told the vehicle will not pass compliance in New Zealand because it did not have ESC. I was surprised because the original document stated it had ESC. They including the Regional manager of AHJ rang me confirming the absence of ESC hence ineligibility for export. I made enquires giving the vin number through to the local vehicle agent and was informed that the vehicle had a equivalent system called DSC hence eligible for importation. I started to smell a rat, my calls were not responded despite receiving text stating not to worry, a replacement car with ESC will be sent, I was sent a fresh sets Pictures and details of vehicles but all at a higher price. I decided to ask for my deposit back but was told it would take time and was advised to get the replacement instead. I made some enquires through my contacts in Japan, the response I got was that the guys in AHJ are pack of liars and cheats and the advise was to keep away from them. The place they are operating from, appears to be non existent as a business, I tried calling the number it never gets answered, other regional offices were the same. My next move was to talk to my bank and they sent a request for a refund as I had not received my goods. Two days later I had a call from a Regional Manager who called himself Steve Miles, again a fictitious name. I am sure he is of Pakistani Origin rang me and offered a full refund acknowledging Mr Stanley Dean's deceptive behaviour. He then requested that I withdrew my original complaint from the bank if I wanted my money back. I rang my bank and told them the condition that was set if I wanted my money back. Two days I had a call followed by an email with an attached refund slip, it had a name, it was Muhamad Taha hence I believe he is a Pakistani. I googled the name a similar name also worked for SBT. I suspect it is the same guy. This company also has another similar business called Autorod. Anyway, I did what he requested but only after I received my refund. I have since had several calls requesting that I withdraw the original complaint. Since I received the refund I did inform my bank to withdraw my complaint but wished now I didn't after reading all the bad experiences innocent people that this company had deceived. I am in the process of letting the Japanese government agencies aware and investigate on this non Japanese group operating from Japan, bringing discredit to Japan and the Japanese people. Lesson learnt:
I am now careful as to who I am dealing with and will not part with money unless there is a third party involved such as JUMVEA.
