Our son's school told us that he is finding it difficult to learn and is behind the other students in his class. They thought he may have special needs and said they would assess this. They also recommended teaching him at home ourselves as it would help him but both me and my husband found it hard as my son just didn't want to learn and would not sit for more than 5 minutes. We were really worried about how he will do in his SATS tests at the end of the year.

Educate First was recommended by another parent at our son's school who said one of the school teachers also worked there and that they were very good.

We managed to register our son to go for literacy and numeracy lessons at the branch on Roundhay Road in Leeds. We were shocked to see that he enjoyed going to the lessons even though he did not want to go initially.

At the centre we found the staff to be very helpful. They really made us feel welcome and explained how things would work and how they plan to help our son. He now attends for 2 every Saturday. It's not a lot of time but it's enough to see it make a difference. We showed some of the work he was doing at the centre to his school teacher and she said that it was spot on.

The teachers at the tuition centre also helped him get ready for the SATS and went through all the topics and practice questions. In the end he did pretty well and better than we had expected.

I would recommend sending a child here if they need help. It's not that expensive either as they charged us £25 each month for 4 lessons. A good call.
