1080 ti Strix owner here, replaced fan A, and here to tell my story of why I got this. If you just want the cliff notes to whether you should get this or not, I'll sum it up first.

-Installed in less than 5 minutes with a tiny philips head screwdriver.
-Came in within days of ordering
-Is not an upgrade over stock, but is a fine replacement for the 1080ti in need.
-Looks almost stock just missing the sticker (if you could add the old stock one on, almost no one would notice)

Now, let me explain what happened. Within an hour of me turning my computer on one morning, I heard what sounded like a screw falling inside my case. The next thing I know, the fan that has a single sliver exposed from the opposite side was making a mess of sounds. After turning off the computer and investigating, I had 2 broken fan blades on Fan A (going by this products ordering). What I suspect is that one broke, and the broken blade itself broke the second one. I was annoyed, I still never found the culprit, but I had something I needed to fix.

I got in contact with ASUS, and over a series of emails asked them what they would estimate the repair would be given the situation. I told them that I knew that there is unlikely any other sort of damage, and that it would just be an out-of-warranty fan replacement. They never gave me anything. Repeatedly, they told me they could not given any sort of estimate, unless they knew the damages, even when I explicitly asked them just to quote just a fan replacement: nothing. I was disgruntled, but at the time, I didn't want to spend 200-300 on switching to some form of watercooling, so I felt this was my best option.

I paid $15 to get the GPU shipped to them, and waited. It took almost 5 days from when I saw it arrived, until I got a quote back. The only damage listed on their report was the fan blade (what a surprise.) But the actual surprise: $820 to repair. Yup, they only listed that single fan to be replaced in the invoice, and it would cost me $790+tax to get it replaced. I was stunned, I was legit dumbfounded to think that I paid less for this card than what they're asking to charge me to replace the fan. I told them not to complete the repair, to send the card back, and I gave a very lovely worded email to them. And basically got a bot response.

After that, I found these replacement fans, and decided to go with them before trying some form of watercooling for the card. Bought the full set, figured why not, and waited for my card to get shipped back to me.

Within 5 minutes of opening up the box with my GPU in it, I had this aftermarket fan inside the shroud, and just had to install it to test it out. I could tell it didn't spin quite as well as the stock fans, but I wasn't going to complain about an $800 difference at that, I just wanted it to work well enough to have my GPU back. And it certainly is more than enough for that.

This is not something you should think of upgrading at all, as if anything, they are just minimally worse than the stock fans. But when you consider that ASUS will probably try to gouge you out of hundreds of dollars just to get replaced by them? I don't see any world that going through them is a viable solution.

All in all, this saved me and my GPU from being scammed out of $800 by ASUS. I just wanted to share my story, in hopes that if there is someone in the same shoes as me, that it can be of help. I'm tempted to order another one, just in the odds that I shoot myself in the foot and break it again, because of this very tale.
