Kickboxing seems more enjoyable then the gym, its also easier to push through a workout. If your not sure of a long term commitment, you cant go wrong with 3 classes and gloves for only $19.99. Gloves usually range around from $50-$100 depending on the quality. The gloves provided are from Century. I've looked up reviews for Century and they seem to be of quality. There always doing promotional stuff or contests which is an added bonus, in fact I am writing this review because of a promotion that will enable me to receive free purple gloves after I write a few reviews.
