We expected what was avertised on this website, but did not get that! This site advertised that they provided certain amenities like a gas grill, clean cottage, free coffee & tea, pest free enviroment. There was no gas grill just charcoal grill, which they stated that after we made our reservations in a confirmation email! The lawn furniture had to be cleaned by us, that is, what furniture was useable, some of it was lined against a partial privacy fence that should be thrown in the trash! I mean it had shredded cushions on it, broken legs, rusted, just trash! The flower gardens where overgrown with weeds, not well maintained like it shows on the website! One side of the house had the gutter falling down! Inside the cottage was a complete dust ball. We decided to try to make the best of it and started to prepare a drink and dinner. We sat our drink mix on the kitchen counter and went outside to make a fire, just a couple minutes later my daughter walked back inside and said mom, I went in to find ants crawling up the drink bottle and all over the counter, so we had to keep all food and drink in our coolers outside and in the refidgerator! The ants were in the bathroom too, they provided a can of raid in the bathroom. The hot tube was overwhelming with chlorine and had debri all in it! We found a comment book and started reading it, most of the comments were from yearlier years but as we flipped through the pages we came across comments that were written just before we got there that stated their disappointment with the cottage as well, the biggest complaint was the ants! I would assume one in this business would read their own comment book and do something about what was said if it was derogatory! We had to call them at 7am to get our complimentry coffee, which she didn't like being awake at that time, but did bring us coffee, however don't you think that if she keep the place up she would have noticed they were out of coffee? The bedroom pillowcases where stained on the backs of them! The website doesn't have a place to put comments for other guest to view, now I know why! This definitly isn't worth $500.00 for a weekend! Beware, don't pay in advance, check the place out and pay when you leave!
