Be very leary of sca promotions. I was sent online a photograph of a check for 2.5 million dollars. I was asked to get a claimers receipt. I took this image to the bank, a lawyer, the treasurer's office, western union. All of them did not have any idea what exactly was a claimers receipt was or how to obtain this. I was told I had won. I was also asked to get the taxes for this winning so the prize transfer would go smoothly and it could be transferred to me quickly because the folks delivering it wanted it done in a timely manner so it would be seamless and they would not be held up as they had other dates and places that they had to go to. The lawyer said he could not tell if it was a fake or not. I am still haunted by this, the not knowing. It was said to be a contest under Floyd's Mayweather jr. Foundation, SCA was promoting it and delivering the win. I could not get ahold of anyone at all so I stopped looking in to it further. All places said it may be real. Shortly after I got an app to be a secret shopper on play store. I was sent a check to put through my bank. I took it to the bank and had them check it out before opening an account. It did not sound right. Thankfully I did. It was in fact fake. I took it to the police station and they had it shredded and filed a report.
I think that Google should be held responsible for letting apps out without thoroughly checking into them. I could have lost money and been held accountable for following through. They wanted me to get blank money orders in the amounts of $2800. 00 sent to some lady. Be very careful online. Now I am bombarded with fake calls, fake numbers, weird sites come up when I check numbers calling me with strange cryptic messages.
