TOXIC. Volatile decision making, which changes every week based on their judgement. Can make or break your career within a day. Constant harassment from Department Manager. She will lie to your face and leadership with such conviction you feel as if your on a movie set. Rude, hostile and zero motivation from the manager. HR is mere spectator. She will bring in chotskies for leadership to make up for a bad behavior, which seems to work. The entire department quit when she came into management, that should have been my first red flag. They make false promises with people at the time of interview so their "word" means nothing. The turnover rate is astronomical, blames employee departure on "non-profits aren't for everyone" hides behind their mission statement, which gets recited like zombies before every, single, report. Don't ask for anything updated software (pdf) to improve your job performance or you will get harassed. During meetings, she (manager) asks you for a statement and then hand writes your personal statement and twist your words around in her favor to be noted as she herself supposedly interprets them. (I would suggest requesting to write your own statement, and then follow by a signature.)
There is zero chance for advancement. So if you don't mind constant bullying, unethical tactics, lies and zero encouragement, support or sense of belonging. Manger actually said "I am not a cheerleader or your friend ".
Was made to cancel appointments with clients in order to have in house hours down to the minute. The one leader that seems to actually care, is completely bamboozled by this dept. management.
