I am not an overly sensitive person. Perhaps because I am Jewish and have heard it all. Just smile and nod has always worked for me. There are people that purposely try and get a rise out of you. The trick is to play along. Those types get bored and move on. I have met very polite people and some very crude. Ignore those that bother you. Don't reply. Like I said, those types get bored and move on to easier prey🤷
