So this happened... my eyes are not loving the whole... situation... with working at home. Job is mostly working in 2 docs at once, 100+ pages of legalese, and going back'n'forth on a 15" laptop is no bueno. Going blind. So I get into a chat window with a rep for a company that sells schmancy readers (mine were $8 or some $#*!, no wonder they suck). Person turns out to be the owner, from Brooklyn, we chat NYC $#*! for a minute. She tells me there might be a delay in the ones I want, because she sends them to be made. But then! She's all lemme see what I have in stock... comes back, all omg, i have one pair, I'll send them, YOU CAN PAY ME LATER (!) Then she takes $10 off the $50 price (!) I'm not even ASKING for any of this. She is a star.
Will update after I try them, for now, this is all customer service.

You contacted us JUST in time, because operations on our fancy readers are shut down this week, since our partner manufacturers are closing on account of NY & California covid19 restrictions. We are stocked up on our less expensive readers for now,. You set the bar really high! I hope nobody expects this service for a couple of weeks as I'll be working customer service from home for awhile. As a business model, I try to answer as many customer inquiries as possible.
