The IFP owner is listed as an Investment Adviser on https://brokercheck.finra.org/ and completed the Series 65 - Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination on May 12,2012. The firm is listed as an Insurance Agency by Virginia State Corporation Commission. We chose instead a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) because "those three letters show that someone is qualified in financial and investment planning, and that they provide an honest fiduciary benefit to their clients." Our decision to end a brief relationship with IFP was validated by the owner's email, "It's funny how 'Christians' will actually waste more of my time and want us to work for free but the pagans that don't know God are more respectful of my advice and time. Christians want to squeeze everything out of us. [The]y pagans are more willing to pay instead of being Penny wise and Pound foolish."
Tip for consumers:
Find a fiduciary - a Certified Financial Planner. According to Investopedia, "A fiduciary is a person or organization that acts on behalf of another person or persons, putting their clients' interest ahead of their own, with a duty to preserve good faith and trust. Being a fiduciary thus requires being bound both legally and ethically to act in the other's best interests."

When the owner recommended we sell all stock positions in a down market and transfer assets to his firm for "management" in ETF's, we chose to end the relationship and located a Certified Financial Planner who is a fiduciary.
BigTaxShop is a scam, hosted by Hostinger, UAB, Jonavos g. 60C, *******, Kaunas, Lithuania, also with offices in 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The site will accept PayPal transactions, provide no products that are purchased and, after a week, PayPal will issue a full refund, which may take up to 30 days to process.
