Booked through Stayz 1year ago. Then the government put covid restrictions on our travel so it got cancelled. At the time Stayz said I couldn't get a refund but a credit for the $700 deposit I paid. I have spent the last 6months trying to use that credit with not much response. I have tried to call the 1800 number which is constantly on technical difficulties, the overnight number get answered by overseas and "apparently " they don't have the authority to do anything to help.
The property I originally booked is no longer with Stayz.So Stayz is wiping their hands of it saying the owners have my money.
Like other people are saying their is a bogus host called VERONICA but she is not the owner, I'd say just a Stayz employee on a keyboard giving bogus excuses.
I booked through Stayz so in my eyes it is their responsibility. They have taken my $700.The ACCC have been contacted and are aware of Stayz and are looking into them. They suggested the small claims court which I will do. Stayz is not honest, transparent and are incredibly fraudulent.
Be very wary of this company they have bad business practice.
