I could write volumes about my experience with this company in the very short time I dealt with them, but suffice it to say that there was NO INTEGRITY whatsoever from this guy, Steve Glanton, when all I wanted to do was buy a car he was advertising. They claim they "cannot give out sensitive information like the owner of the car", etc, when in reality, they are scamming you into buying something completely different from what they're advertising. I've learned from other car website owners that people like HaggleMe simply "piggyback" ads either onto or from other websites and claim to be representing the car in the picture, but really, they don't have ANY information on that actual car... just hijacked it elsewhere (read the rest of the reviews on this site and you'll know what I mean). When I insisted on speaking to one of the owners of one of the cars he was representing, he actually started to try to INSULT ME, because I should know his rules and he "never reveals the owners' information", only wants to be the go-between... RIP OFF! When I initially called about a car he had for sale, which he knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about (1st red flag) he asked me to send him the link from the website so he could know for sure which car I was talking about (I was trying to buy a classic car, and there would only be very few of them for sale). The next day he emails me back, "OH GOSH, you just missed it! The car just SOLD YESTERDAY!"... HMM... so I ask him, what did it sell for Steve? He says, "I don't know, I have no idea!" 2nd big red flag... So I ask him to ask the owner if he'll talk to me about it, or he find out what the car sold for, and that's where things fell apart... It was MORE THAN OBVIOUS by his responses that he really didn't know anything about the car, the owner, nor what the hell I was even talking about.

But he DID, however, call me all kinds of names in the process like a "snowflake" and that I need to "stop wearing my wife's panties and being a loser", etc, all because I was calling him on his BS and finding out that this operation of his was a complete SCAM...

So, a lesson to anyone out there trying to determine if a business is legitimate before spending (potentially) $1000s of dollars with them: If they seem like they don't know what in the HELL they're doing, can't answer simple questions about the product they're (supposedly) representing, and then try to insult you when you ask questions... YEAH, that could be a RIP OFF, which is all that HaggleMe.com is... so STAY AWAY!

UPDATE: No, I'm not "that James", but thanks for trying to discredit my review by merging me with someone else. I was trying to buy a car cash, not with financing (not that it matters). I ended up buying a $******* classic car, from an individual buyer and paid cash, which is the best way to put a face to a name. Plus, the likelihood of being scammed is reduced, because there's no middleman (like these people, for example) that want to take a bite out of your purchase any way they can. When you deal directly with the actual OWNER of the car, you're getting first-hand information that may be crucial to your experience with the vehicle. Especially if its a classic car and the seller has owned it for a while and can give you valuable background on it. Suffice it to say that I would have obtained NONE of this information from a 3rd party "seller" such as this place.

But whomever is reading this, know that everything I said that transpired between myself and that Steve Glanton guy (whether or not he's the owner, although he ACTED like it) is absolutely true. I went back and tried to find the email correspondence he sent me, but no matter. What happened with all the lies and insults happened on the phone, so, since I don't record my calls, I can't really "prove" that they happened, but they did. So, why do they have "positive" reviews on this site now? Either they had an epiphany, and realized that all the bad reviews were affecting their business, or (more likely) they got fraudulent positive reviews written by supporters or people who work for (or are connected to) the company themselves. The way I was treated, even though I was a legitimate buyer at the time, was more than horrible. When you have this guy calling you names and threatening you, when all you're trying to do is find out more about a car, is despicable and certainly worthy of exposure and condemnation. I just - mistakenly - thought I was contacting an actual business that was there to help customers and provide an honest service.

Although I didn't buy this car from them, I included a picture of the car I DID buy, as proof that I really did make this purchase, and this beautiful car is now mine, no thanks to these people.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way, and for anyone who cares, I am NOT the James these people are thinking I am. I have a credit score that is exemplary and beyond reproach, and I bought the classic car with CASH and it was in the $50K range.

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from people who scam you, like HaggleMe.com when trying to buy a car....

Products used:
Was not able to buy the product I wanted because the business did NOT HAVE the product they were (supposedly) offering.

James, If you're the James we have in mind, you were declined financing. We understand it's upsetting getting denied but we have no control over that. The lenders have strict guidelines they must adhere too. The accusations are quite ridiculous. We're professionals who have been in business 25+ years. Obviously if anyone in our employ, called people names, we would no longer be in business. We don't share certain information to anyone we deem as "hostile" simply for the protection of our clients.
