Hello there everyone
No doubt this is probably in the wrong section, but i have searched and found what i think is as close to the point as possible
Im writing this as a warning to anybody concidering buying from oakwoodjoineryandbuilding.co.uk
I suppose the name of the site should have thrown up a red flag but because i was buying a pair of shoes from a discontinued line i stupidly assumed that the owner of the site was buying up discontinued stock on the cheap
Anyway as it was a uk site i was quite surprised when my item hadent arrived after 3 weeks
Then one day a packet turns up... from china
Instead of my shiney new shoes for £45 there was a pair of £! Plastic trainers
I messaged the site and to my surprise got a reply... from a gmail account... lol

"let me check with the "warehouse" and see whats gone wrong the fraudster replied

Then he gets back to me saying there was a mixup and i could keep the £1 trainers as it would cost more to send them back than they were worth obviously and they would give me a "partial refund"

So thats the scam... there never was a pair of shoes or all of the other items they have advertised on there... no matter what you order you always get the £1 trainers and then an offer of a partial refund...

Incidentally the partial refund was £15... so i get a pair of cheap chineese £1 trainers for £30

So there you go folks... feel free to laugh at me as much as you want... the only reason im putting this on here is so that anyone googling this scammer might just happen across this first before buying anything

I will be also adding this to as many other scam forums on other sites as possible so that there is a good chance this write up will be found by anyone looking

In the meantime i will be talking to mastercard monday to get my money back and also cancel my card... there isnt much in the account so there is no rush... this can all be done monday
