I was shopping for a digital musical instrument and found their prices to be drastically lower than any other online retailer in the US. Happily provided my credit card details when completing my website order to only receive this email (excerpt): "However we are unable to start processing your order as our credit card processing gateway has refused to process your payment. In order to continue with this purchase we require the payment by direct bank transfer. Please find the proforma invoice attached below. Once the payment is done please let us know so we can start processing your order."
I spoke to my bank and they confirmed there was no issue with this transaction on my end. They also advised against doing the direct transfer due to increased risk. When I emailed IALTA to ask if I made a mistake in inputting my credit card details or if they can try again because I would not proceed with the bank transfer, they simply cancelled my order without any explanation. No bueno! Never doing business with them and strongly recommend people consider the same just to be on the safe side.
