I would like know is it possible to refinance your home and take about $5,000.00 out in equality. If so is this possible.If so do you have to pay back the 5,000.00. I"m' trying to lower my mortgage payment to $600.00. I'm paying $845.00 for the last 16 yrs. With interest rate of 5.00 %.

Iam a single retired female only receiving $768.00 once social security take out for my medicare.
