I booked my car hire for Cagliari Airport in Sardinia online with a covering question asking Atlas how they could speed up my check in when collecting the car as we have a very tight deadline. They ignored the question for a few weeks and when I chased them said they ould not help "because there would be other customers at their check in when I arrived." Thanks for that piece of illuminating information Atlas- I had no idea there would be other customers (although come to think of it I am a litle surprised anyone uses this company)!
I asked again but there was nothing they could do-their only focus was on ensuring I knew they would be billing me handsomly for cancellation; even though my uestion as raised as a condition of booking. The fee was duly deducted of course.
In the event I booked with an alternative higher quality provider and I have secured a better car, at a lower cost and with a priority check-in desk that ensures I can meet my deadlines.
Customner service? I doubt Atlas have the first idea what it means. Fortunately other more professional providers do.
