I've now ordered three times from Supermarket Italy and yet to receive what I ordered. Items are always available on the website, but not in reality. I won't try another order. It is hopeless.
On two separate occasions we received an e-mail indicating our order should have been delivered, and given an e- mail address to use if we had not received the order. The order was not delivered. When we contacted customer service they indicated that the items in our order were not available and suggested we substitute other items. This seems very much like a bait and switch situation.
It has specific brands that we can not find elsewhere.
We love the Cascina Oschiena variety of rice because of the way it tastes and the way it is grown.
I love the products offered at supermarket Italy, but several times now products that are shown as available on the website are actually sold out. Although the customer service department attempts to help, sold out means it isn't available and should not be listed as available on the website.
Supermarketitaly.com has products that We can not find elsewhere. Specialty products that are specific to Italy are often difficult to find in the states. Spuermarketitaly.com has come to be our first source for several products that we fell in love with when we were in Italy.
Once again shopping codes are for a small period of time. I had a code for free shipping, but It expired yesterday when we were on the road. So disappointed when that happens. You've also been out of the large size of the Cascina Oschiena black rice for ages now.
