Mintmobile "customer service" is just a front desk that is texting "tickets" to other departments that do the job. The result is that everything gets messed up and Mintmobile is losing money because they don't want to pay for an actual customer service that does the job while you are talking to them. I got a new plan but selected the wrong eSIM (or their site glitched). I asked them to send me a free physical SIM, they told me I had to pay for it when it would have been free with the order. As a result I requested a refund of the whole order. Later, because I stupidly had ported my number to Mintmobile already, I decided to not refund the order and told the "customer service" to cancel the order refund, which they confirmed. Then I proceeded to order a physical SIM card so I can use my phone number with Mintmobile. A few days later, I get an email that my order refund was sent - the same refund that I canceled through the fake customer service. Then I call them to tell them to cancel shipping of the SIM card since obviously I don't need it. The "customer service" "canceled the order of the SIM card". The next day I get an email that the SIM card has shipped. It turns out that the "customer service" had just texted a "ticket" to another department, who hadn't read it yet and the SIM card shipped. This disconnect between the texting front desk masquerading as "customer service" and the real customer service that does the job on the accounts is the source of all problems at Mintmobile.
