The agent was fine. No issues at all with him. My issue starts with reaching customer support and with the resolution.
1st the instruction web page is a snapshot of a web page of how to get the support you need thus what looks like links on that page are nonfunctional.
2nd I registered my product when I purchased it (2 years ago) and when I went to log back in for a warranty issue, the website would not allow me to log in. I then tried to use the listed support number only to get the push this button for this or this button for that which just lead to a vicious cycle or the system saying goodbye and hangs up. One prompt says for faster service use the chat function. So, I did just that.
3rd When I tried to use the chat function it said I was not working at that moment so I waited till the next day and it did the same thing. Was not working during normal business' hours.
4th Final and last solution for me was to send a email to reach customer support. My first email was Monday 9-18-23 and did not get a response for 3 days till Thursday 9-21-23 which stated they had updated their website registration page and some clients did not transfer over. I was told to reregister and then I could start the warranty claim again. So I did it and all went well till…….
5th Now I've finally reach the page to select my product but when you finally get to the checkout page it kept adding an upgrade fee of $5. I was not selecting any upgrades. So back to emailing customer support. This email was replied to and got a response 24 hrs later telling me the web page was working fine and to try to clear my cookies and cache. I did not clear them and decided to try the website one last time and sure enough it work, no upgrade charge when trying to cash out.
6th and final issue, the icing on the cake. Just as I am ready to add my credit card info because of the $10 shipping fee and taxes which added up to $10.70 my son over herd me grumbling over the shipping fee for a warranty issue and told me this screen saver was cheaper on Amazon. He has the same iphone as I do and To my total shock not was it only cheaper for the same exact screen protector by about $1 with free shipping it was for a double pack of screen protectors. 2 of them for less than the single one I was trying to resolve through my covered warranty.
This was disgusting and Zagg should be ashamed of themselves. I will rethink any future purchases before proceeding.
none at the moment
Scam! (Zagg warranty replacement)
I copied another "customer's" most recent review, it is exactly happened to me as stated below. The first time I paid to ship the broken protectors to them but wasn't happy about it. This time, I went to an "Authorized Dealer" so I wouldn't have to pay shipping cost. The dealer wanted to charge a return fee (which included an installation fee) of $10. I contacted customer service to see options. They offered three ways for warranty replacement which ALL required their "customer" paying to ship the old protector to them! What is the point of the authorized dealer? I worked for Mercedes-Benz for 12 years responsible for warranty part returns and Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) would asked back for parts if they believed there was an issue so they could do testing to resolve. Mostly, we were told to throw away defective parts. MBUSA trust their dealers to decide if a valid warranty claim was appropriate (and sometimes customers would try to get away with false claims) and handle it with the customer. NEVER did we make the customer PAY to return VALID warranty parts back (if needed), let alone, charge the "customer" to PAY for installation either! I owned a Iphone 4s for 6 years without a screen protector with no issues. Zagg's have cracked on my phone twice in a year (and so has my wife's and daughter's) which customer service says it usually happens to most people 4-5 per year! What a product, a "warranty" they pass the cost to their "customers". Also, a product it seems to be designed to prematurely crack ensuring continuous replacement. This business model is called planned obsolescence and purely PROFIT driven! I WON'T BE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN and neither should you!
Another "customer" review:
"I'd give them 0 stars if I could. I purchased an InvisibleShield for my iPhone. I was told if anything happened to my screen I could bring it to the kiosk at our mall and they could replace it for free. The shield was scratched immediately after purchasing. Then the shield started lifting up. Mind you, I take the very best care of my phone. I've never had any issues. I bought the shield as a precaution. When I asked them to replace my shield the wanted to charge me $10. I have a warranty. What kind of "lifetime warranty" is that? I already paid $40 for this. Piece of crap... don't even bother."
