2/27/2022 - HORRIBLE customer experience with York Furniture Gallery in Rochester, NY working with Larry Bell. Buyers BEWARE! I do not recommend anyone purchasing furniture from this establishment. I custom ordered sofas from York in Summer of 2021 and the color of the sofas was not to my satisfaction when received. The store was not willing to work with me for a replacement and the salespersons were very rude/uncourteous after I shared my displeasure and verbally told me that I would be sued if I didn't take their furniture. I waited over 6 months for this order to arrive and made multiple calls to the store with delay after delay to receive the furniture. On my first visit to the store, Larry was badmouthing Raymour and Flanigan for their lack of quality and long wait times to receive furniture. Not true at all if in stock!
I did not accept the furniture upon delivery since I was not happy with the color and Larry (Manager) informed me AFTER my displeasure that there would be a 35% restocking fee of the total retail price (almost $5,000). So I'm paying almost ($1,800) restocking fee for something that I never received nor can use. I will NEVER do business with YORK Furniture Gallery again and I suggest no one purchases anything from them due to their lack of professionalism and terms and conditions after the sale.
