Xfinity lied to us and fraudulently charged our account without our consent. In the course of trying to get an internet outage serviced, we were offered two FREE phones by the Xfinity service representative. In a lengthy discussion I told him repeatedly that we did NOT want the phones if we had to pay for them. He stated MULTIPLE TIMES that the phones were unequivocally FREE. Under those conditions I accepted charges for what were presented as incidental fees. I was never offered a written/digital copy of the agreement. Later, our bill showed charges of $800.00 for the 2 phones! After MANY HOURS on chat and with telephone support, I was told that the offer was conditional upon switching from another company. Our phones have been with Xfinity for 6½ years. I tried to get help on the matter, to no avail. Finally, only after reporting this to the FCC, we were contacted. The only remedy we were offered was to return the phones, which took MORE HOURS of our time. This rep kept trying to frame what happened as a "misunderstanding". Xfinity never acknowledged the injustice, nor took any responsibility for the lies. "I'm sorry," was mouthed — but apologies don't give me the over 15 HOURS of my time trying to resolve these issues, not to mention the stress of being lied to and defrauded. MANY HOURS OF OUR TIME WAS WASTED BY XFINITY IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS: — much difficulty trying to get through their phone tree to a real individual (who might or might not help) — being connected to the incorrect department via live chat, wasting more time — continued efforts to upsell us to a more expensive plan (including a fraudulant phone offer) rather than solve the problem we contacted them about — losing phone service because their system cannot switch connections from one phone to another effectively — no callback after being told I would get a call from a supervisor — getting messages from their scheduling department with a restricted callback number, making it impossible to complete the call — after more phone time, given an appointed time for a call FROM Xfinity; never got that call — multiple dropped connections from their end just as we were getting close to completion of tasks, necessitating repeated restarts on the process — interminably long waits for their system to make a single change in internet or phone settings — over a week to get each service appointment, resulting in our internet being out for over three weeks — repair person left trash in our yard, left wiring incomplete and the box open, did not return to complete as promised — lack of compensation for the HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS OF TIME LOST! — a total lack of empathy on the part of PR after being defrauded by Xfinity: unresponsive, unsympathetic, and predatory We are STILL WAITING for our original phones to get properly reconnected and returned to their original status. We are senior citizens living on a limited fixed income. I am OUTRAGED and DISGUSTED at the fraudulent misrepresentation by Xfinity, their absurdly inefficient system, loooong wait times, lack of follow through, and overall lack of care. We are senior citizens on a limited fixed income, and this is how Xfinity treated us.

After finish promotion or contract they bump the price with highest price without to tell you. We are living in like and dislike socialite and they just got dislike. The worst is they are monopolist in many places and you do not have choose and have to deal with them all time on phone many times before they adjust the normal price. Go away from Xfinity if you have another choice.

A scammer called with a "save 50% over 3 years" deal, to prove he had access a $10 was posted to our Xfinity account, then...told us we had 24 hours to buy a bunch of Target gift cards, call them with the #s! I said SCAM, no way, he got mad and charged our card $125.00, which only went to our Xfinity bill. But when I called (4X!) I was repeatedly told oh we'll refund it, no problem, and...here's a new offer for you.
BS! Trying to find a new internet provider in our area. Xfinity SUCKS - plus frequent outages. There has to be better out there.

Customer service
August 24, 2024

Xfinity/comcast is a multi billion dollar company that does not value customer service or loyalty. Showed you where there priorities are.
It's a Saturday morning the line is out the door and they only have two people working. I can't get help on line or through the phone service because they are only focusing on getting me to upgrade or buy more equipment! So frustrating and they wonder why so many people are angry these days. Or just choose to minemelize to avoid the stress of dealing with large companies.

Yet another customer screwed by Xfinity crooks
August 2, 2024

I'll join the parade of unhappy Xfinity customers. There's a reason these people have an average rating of one star after thousands of reviews. We purchased xfinity phone and internet access for our elderly mother. After she passed away, we wanted to cancel the subscription, as the house was empty. These foul, vile people refused to waive the cancellation fee because the service wasn't in her name. So these scums continue to screw people even after they are dead.

They also said they'd forward the waiver request to upper management and that they'd let us know the result. Of course, no one ever called back. So after more hours on hold dealing with their awful customer service, they refused to waive the cancellation fee.

Xfinity mobile is a scam
August 2, 2024

So, on June 28, Xfinity.com scammed me with $758.86, that was paid by my PayPal card as $682.10 one payment (Transaction ID
3GG*******B*******) and $76.76 another payment (Transaction ID
2AP*******NP*******). (you can check it on my PayPal transactions), I paid it because they forced me to do it or send it to collecters. I filed a PayPal case after that and they add the amount back to my account on xfinity.com even the case wasn't resolved yet!

The amount they added back is $682.10 which I opened a PayPal case for + $34.24 a balance they added from nowhere too = $716.34 the amount they charged me (Transaction ID 30U*******G*******).

As you see in the picture $682.10 shows once but charged me twice on PayPal. They added it back because I opened a case on PayPal resolution center

Now I canceled my PayPal card in hope to stop that scam. Please help me out to get a refund.

Ameer Ali

Poor service
July 24, 2024

I was with Spectrum for 4 years before moving to an area with xfinity only. If I contacted Spectrum technical support I ALWAYS got someone I could understand and was knowledgeable and helpful. With xFinity, NEVER. Routinely got incorrect information. I finally asked for a technician to be sent out. I got a text confirmation and a text confirmation the following day. On the day of the appointment I got a text saying the technician had arrived and would be with me shortly. No one showed up. When I contacted customer support and told them of the situation I was told by a guy with an attitude that there was no appointment scheduled. No follow up. I saved the text messages for a long while thinking I'd be contacted. No. The equipment provided was crap. 20 hours of of saved recording with no way of finding out how much time was left. With it being in the cloud if the internet when down you would have no access to it. So no television. I wasn't always happy with Spectrum but they were 10 times better than xFinity. Very good proof why people are going away from cable companies. XFinity wasn't even trying. Go elsewhere.

Horrible internet, cable, home security, etc. provider! Inability to talk OR chat with a customer service representative. I live in Houston and even with relatively small storms the internet will go out for days. I live in a condominium complex and owners with Verizon, T Mobille, AT&T, etc will have minimal or no service interruptions while I am without internet for days if not week(s).

Tropical storm Beryl wiped out XFINITY (but not others, like Verizon and T mobile) services for many people in the Houston area on 7/8/24. It has been 5 days and Xfinity sends generic, vague messages regarding their restoration efforts; do not give anticipated date or range of dates for service recovery based on location; lack the service staff and technician volume required to fix damages to their network; have a poor network infrastructure that is easily prone to weather-related damage irrespective of the extent of the damage!

PLEASE DON'T GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY. THEY ARE A DISGRACEFUL COMPANY! Go with another provider.

If I could give this company negative stars I would. An absolute joke of a company, managers are useless, and field techs either complete tickets they never worked on or don't show up to appointments and no one will help you. This company can care less about their customers. I have been waiting for service for over 10 days. I had no choice but to report them to FCC.

My experience has been horrible wirh Xfinity Mobile. Customer service reps lie blatantly, they pass customers around from rep to rep, and have added erroneous charges to a device wirh no balance in order to prevent me from switching phone carriers. Xfinity operates on demon time with no care for the customer.

Too bad there isn't an option to provide a negative number to rate xfinity. There isn't a single thing they do well. I've read many of the reviews posted here, and I can't agree more with all the negative comments and warnings.

DON'T EVEN CONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH COMCAST/XFINITY!

In the 9 years we have used xfinity, we have had constant problems. But recently, they have achieved a level of service, below which, we didn't think possible, even for xfinity! All while increasing their prices!
Over the past year, we have have had "multiple day" outages on more than 12 occasions. One outage was 4 days! The hourly outages, and service interruptions, are too numerous to count. I have spent countless hours on the phone with their people who are totally clueless. For all this "service", we pay them over $300/month!

Today, we will be set free! We are cancelling all our xfinity services: Mobile, Cable, Internet, TV, Wi-Fi, land line...everything!
Good riddance!

New Xfinity fraud.
June 8, 2024

New Xfinity fraud.
After agreeing to switch my Google.fi number to Xfinity, I received a phone but was given a new number by default. I messaged my account number and pin to customer service, but it took more than 10 days. When I attempted to transfer the number today (6/8/2014), the agent informed me that I may cancel the number that had already been issued to the devices. I accepted, then they cancelled, and now they're misleading me because, according to the agreement, they issued the number by default, and there's no way I can swap. To change my number, I now have to pay the entire fee for the device.

Policy:-

"If line is canceled, voluntarily or involuntarily or device payments are accelerated, balance of credits associated with device payment are forfeited. Offer not valid with prior purchases, returns or exchanges. May not be combinable with some other offers." by default they provided the number no way i can switch? To change my number i should cancel the existing connection "

They didn't show up on the scheduled day which I lost a day of pay over. You can't call them so I was in a chat for two hours while they kept connecting me to someone else. The tech came the next day and said that he couldn't install because he had to run conduit around my building and that it would be two weeks. Absolutely horrible. Att had no problem installing

Horrendous. I asked xfinity if they could wave my 2-month early termination fee since we have already xfinity at the residence I'm moving to (we had an apt and a house for a bit). Not only did they NOT wave the fee, they sent me to collections after 2 weeks of billing and texted me 2x to say they were working on the request. So then I had to get involved with talking to collections as well as getting xfinity customer service on the phone a couple of times, which deserves an entirely separate negative review. (Their phone tree is atrocious and sends you in a big circle.) I was planning to get xfinity wireless and move our cellular service over, but after this experience, forget it. If I could give xfinity negative million stars, I would. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!
