The system is broken and has lots of bugs, I wish I had read reviews before using the that. They go on maintenance without notice and it is really painful to get something useful back from them. For people in academy who get deadlines: do not waste your time, seriously.

I just received a 65% similarity score (with indexing checked) and 75% with indexing unchecked. This is ludicrous as I wrote everything directly from my notes which were not lifted from any source. How can this be accurate. I use Turnitin at York University and pay for using it as part of my tuition. Because its down right now I signed up for your check. This is doubly frustrating. There is no plagiarism in the report. I just hope I can still submit it as it is.

Inconsistent, unreliable, and a broken system, to say the very least. At first, I couldn't even purchase any credits, to begin with, after waiting a whole week for them to respond, by then, I no longer needed their services. They charge high prices for something that doesn't even work effectively nor adequately. The customer support is nonexistent. Therefore, it's tough to get any feedback or help at all. Use another service, save your time and money, what a waste this is. This website is a disgrace to TurnItIn and students. Mark my words, you'll regret spending your time and money here...

Can I give it ZERO?
August 14, 2017

There is no tech support. Stuck at "generating" for 3 hours on a paper at a due date night, doesn't let me retry. I had to spend another $8 bucks to give it another shot, and it was done in 2 min. It does NOT make any sense you take 1 credit before I see the result. I honestly feel like I was scammed!

WriteCheck is immensely expensive and does not revise the paper correctly. For example, parametrization is an entry accepted in most of the dictionaries but WriteCheck marks as an error. Moreover, you cannot see the sources of the plagiarism, hence it is barely useful for that reason.

I regret deeply to purchase 3 papers corrections and lose 30 dollars.

I should have read reviews first before purchasing the product. I have a paper due to tonight, and the ETS checker cannot process my paper. Well, that is useless to me as I'm not sure what items are plagiarized.

Not worth the money for legal papers. It doesn't recognise standard phrases, can't seem to understand when things are properly referenced (it even treats the references as plagerised!); overall hopeless
PS: just self-plagerised my comment on Kira's review

It's a SCAM because they don't clearly tell when you sign up that "Resubmissions must be at least 70% similar to the original document. Resubmissions cannot be more than 150% the length of the original document." Many people pay and submit their paper only to find out they cannot get resubmit after they have considerably edited their paper. The info about limitations only appear when you try to resubmit or if by chance you happen to read their FAQ. It's a SCAM

The plagiarism check, which is the only reason I used this site, does not pick up a good number of word-for-word quotes, from highly cited articles, which are picked up by the turnitin checkers used by universities. I work at a London university and checked this. If you are looking for a site to allay fears of inadvertant plagiarism, writecheck.com is useless. I have emailed them a number of times asking them about this and have recieved no response. Waste of my money.

TurnItIn powered plagiarism checker. The main advantage of this one is that you can check the paper without it being stored unlike TurnItIn itself. It's not free but well worth the money spent.

They have policies that are hidden from easily being viewed until it's too late, their customer service is rude and unsympathetic, and their software kind of sucks.

Borderline deceptive policies tailored to take your money with no hope of refund. Apparently most of their policies are in the FAQ but some key policies are not noted at time of purchase of the service. 1. Each "essay credit" ($8 each credit) is for 5000 words of less. Thus, if your essay is 5001 words, you need to pay $16. However, you won't realize this until after you've paid the first $8 (which can't be refunded). 2. WriteCheck does not filter out any recent work submitted by the student/author. Thus, let's say you submit an essay to TurnItIn.com a day prior and then want to use WriteCheck to see what your math % is (presumably to people other than yourself). If you submit your essay to WriteCheck, you will get a 100% match, which is useless information (i. E. you're plagiarizing yourself). These two points could easily be noted prior to purchasing any credits (using checkboxes so that the customer states s/he understands).
Customer service is non-responsive. Their stated 24 hour turn time was never hit each time I sent them an email. After 48 hours, I would have to send an inquiry about whether they received my last email, at which point they would respond. Also, customer service responses are robotic in nature, lacking any empathy or acknowledgement of understanding the customer's point of view.
WriteCheck sent junk mail on how they are superior to Google's essay checking service. Perhaps it'd be good to check out the competition such as Google's service.

(UPDATE at end)

I too wish I had read the reviews.

I paid for the semester package. I made sure the document was less than 64,000 characters with (spaces). The document was less than 20MB. And I (attempted) to upload it. There it sat - claiming that it would take 2 mins to upload. 20 mins later - it never did. What it did do was to automatically log me out of the system and send me back to their home page.

There is a note on the page that suggests "Because the service is temporarily experiencing unusually high volumes, your results may take several hours." So I tried again at various times. Early morning. Late night. Middle day. Afternoon. It did not matter. No uploading.

I wrote to them. Got back a? Generic reply saying they would send my concern to their "Tier One Specialists to be investigated further". No reply 2 days later. (time of writing this review)

Also note, that their website says: "All WriteCheck credits purchased are non-refundable. WriteCheck will not prorate any unused credits for an account."

But what if there isn't any service to begin with?

This company is not good. It can be a headache for the student stretched for time. And it is money lost. Stay away.

I hope to be able to update this

********UPDATE *********

Got back a reply that said to change the browser. I had used Google chrome previously (listed by them as compatible). I used Microsoft edge this time. It did the same. Took 2 credits and gave no report. Frustrated I went to write a complaint to them (again) and had to check the site - lo and behold, there sat my report.

So it works. Grammar notes were appreciated. It listed most of my citations (e.g. Brown 2009, Clarke 2010, Dizon 2011) as plagiarism though (what gives?) and that increased my score.

The agent noted that they were having a huge amount of submissions. So there was a backlog.

The site name has 'beta' attached. Perhaps it's not ready as yet. I can't faithfully recommend this. I went with another site that was way faster and didn't flag my citations. I feel better with them.

Upgrading stars from '1' to '2'.
