UPDATE to NOT fast shipping, can't do what they say they will

12/21/23 Update - After several attempts to contact the company and get them to take action with my issue as well as posting several reviews about my experience, the owner Allen, reached out to me to address my frustrations and how long it had taken to receive my order. He admitted that it had taken far too long to get my order and apologized for this, offering a partial credit for my negative experience. He also promptly addressed my other needs telling me that he could email me the appraisal I did not receive with my products as well as a return label for one I did not plan to keep. He stated that he hoped he could make it up to me in the future.
While I am leary to try to them again, I must also say that many years ago - maybe a decade or so, I ordered my original pair of 0.50 carat diamond studs from World Jewels and had a flawless experience. While this one was completely opposite that, I do feel as though it has mostly been righted at this point and it is possible, if their record of reviews improves, I may try them again should the need arise.

ORIGINAL Review:
While this company and their website state that they have "fast and free shipping", it has now been over a month since I placed my order and I have not received it despite numerous communications with the company being promised several times over when my order would be ready and when it would ship. Detail as follows:
November 8th, 2023 - Placed an order for 2 pairs of earrings.
November 15th, 2023 - Have not heard anything with regard to my order so I reach out to request an update. An told that it will ship early next week, which would be the week of 11/20.
On November 27th, I still have not received any information regarding my order so I reach out again for an update.
On November 29th, an Allen Rastian emails me that he will call me about my order but does not. At 11 pm CST that night, I receive an email from him saying that my order should be ready by Friday (12/1) and I will receive tracking once it ships.
On December 4th, I STILL have not received any information or tracking regarding my order, now the 2nd time I've been told when it will ship and it hasn't) so later that afternoon, I call the company and ask for an update. I'm told there are no notes in the system despite these numerous emails I've sent but when she checks, she tells me that my order is ready and I should have tracking in a few hours. I ask when I should actually receive my order and she tells me the end of the week or early the following at the latest. That would have been last Friday, 12/8 or this week.
On 12/6, I finally receive the tracking information I was promised two days and multiple times earlier. When I check it, it says that only a shipping label has been created and the post office has not received anything.
Today, December 11th, I check it again only to find out the exact same information.
It has now been over a month since I placed my order; its been promised to me on several occasions in the interim and I STILL have not received it after extensive follow-up.
From my experience, I feel that nothing this company says can be trusted and they certainly do not seem to have any concern for their customers, customer satisfaction, or repeat business.

Tip for consumers:

While I originally stated I would no longer consider doing business with World Jewels, in light of the owner, Allen, reaching out to try to improve the situation afterwards, I'd be leary, but would consider doing business with them again if I were to see an improved track record of reviews.

Over the Moon

World Jewels worked TIRELESSLY throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, with their shops closed, and deadlines unknown, to keep me apprised of the status of a custom made ring without a center stone (I had my own I wanted to place in the center). I had placed the order just days before the pandemic was declared in March 2020 and chaos followed. Allen was in touch with me constantly from the time the governments shut down non-essential businesses, to the re-openings, to the re-closings, to the final manufacture and shipment of my ring during a time when even shipping was delayed or shut down.

The first round was not exactly what I had in mind, and Allen worked with me to more completely understand and communicate my specific demands to manufacture without argument or additional cost. Finally, after many months of unexpected nationwide delays due to the pandemic, and my miscommunication about exactly what I had in mind… my ring arrived. Perfectly.

I had my own center stone to mount, and had given Allen the precise dimensions of my existing center stone. He manufactured the mount to accommodate the stone and to exclude unnecessary bench jeweler up-charges for materials. When I took the ring in to the local bench jeweler to mount the center stone, he asked why I hadn't had the ring created there, locally, at his shop… I showed him the ring and asked if he'd have done that for the price I paid? He emphatically shook his head, and said there was NO WAY he'd have been able to do it for THAT price. I mentioned that I wasn't particularly educated about the quality of the side stones, and that perhaps their quality was reflected in the price? The jeweler carefully examined the side stones and commented that they were indeed good quality, and reiterated that there is no way he'd have done the work, with those materials, at that price.

I am delighted beyond words with my experience with World Jewels. I realize buying online is a scary proposition for most; handing over money to a stranger with end results unknown and fraught with uncertainty, across state lines with no knowledge of legal recourse- just a wing and a prayer. Allen knows this is what customers are experiencing and handled each of our communications as if I were The Most Important and The Only Customer he had to handle. I realize others have had a less than satisfactory experience, and I just cannot imagine how… given every obstacle that was dropped in my path on the way to getting this ring made and shipped to my satisfaction under the conditions that the nation was experiencing from March to now… I just cannot fathom how World Jewels could have possibly handled it any better than they did - and I certainly expected the worst. I'm just over the moon happy. THANK YOU ALLEN and World Jewels!
