World Jewels worked TIRELESSLY throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, with their shops closed, and deadlines unknown, to keep me apprised of the status of a custom made ring without a center stone (I had my own I wanted to place in the center). I had placed the order just days before the pandemic was declared in March 2020 and chaos followed. Allen was in touch with me constantly from the time the governments shut down non-essential businesses, to the re-openings, to the re-closings, to the final manufacture and shipment of my ring during a time when even shipping was delayed or shut down.
The first round was not exactly what I had in mind, and Allen worked with me to more completely understand and communicate my specific demands to manufacture without argument or additional cost. Finally, after many months of unexpected nationwide delays due to the pandemic, and my miscommunication about exactly what I had in mind… my ring arrived. Perfectly.
I had my own center stone to mount, and had given Allen the precise dimensions of my existing center stone. He manufactured the mount to accommodate the stone and to exclude unnecessary bench jeweler up-charges for materials. When I took the ring in to the local bench jeweler to mount the center stone, he asked why I hadn't had the ring created there, locally, at his shop… I showed him the ring and asked if he'd have done that for the price I paid? He emphatically shook his head, and said there was NO WAY he'd have been able to do it for THAT price. I mentioned that I wasn't particularly educated about the quality of the side stones, and that perhaps their quality was reflected in the price? The jeweler carefully examined the side stones and commented that they were indeed good quality, and reiterated that there is no way he'd have done the work, with those materials, at that price.
I am delighted beyond words with my experience with World Jewels. I realize buying online is a scary proposition for most; handing over money to a stranger with end results unknown and fraught with uncertainty, across state lines with no knowledge of legal recourse- just a wing and a prayer. Allen knows this is what customers are experiencing and handled each of our communications as if I were The Most Important and The Only Customer he had to handle. I realize others have had a less than satisfactory experience, and I just cannot imagine how… given every obstacle that was dropped in my path on the way to getting this ring made and shipped to my satisfaction under the conditions that the nation was experiencing from March to now… I just cannot fathom how World Jewels could have possibly handled it any better than they did - and I certainly expected the worst.
