Contacts came in decently fast. Had no hassle with my prescription. Would be 5 star if there was a cheaper contacts at least for astigmatism.
Then as you go to check out. They charge a "Processing fee" of $118. On a $179.order LOL! What ripoffs they attempt to be
Contact lens I purchased from webeyecare.com did not work me. I rarely return items purchased via Internet, but with their banners of 100% satisfaction guaranteed, etc. I called customer service and found that in fact it's not 100% satisfaction guaranteed. I can only return unopened box, I pay for shipping, no return label, and worst of all a surly customer service rep. I'm going to buy a new contact lenses but not from this company.
I ordered from web eye care thinking it will be much faster than my eye doctor. I was clearly mistaken. I sent a copy of my prescription with my order and six days later it was barely being shipped. Why it would take six days I have no clue. I understand the weekend but by Tuesday they still had not shipped. I can go to my doctors office and that day it will be processed. My contracts were shipped in two separate boxed and arrived days apart. Overall slow service has me convinced web eye care is a poor choice
I paid for an eye exam for a contacts prescription. I waited two weeks, and nothing ever came. I had to contact customer service, follow up after I heard nothing, and then finally got a refund with no explanation as to what the heck happened. It was a let down.
Great prices but I ordered my contacts on Nov 6th and still have not received them and today is nov 27th. My RX is a bit extreme but 3 weeks and still no contacts. Make sure you order a month ahead of time.
I tried to order from them. First I have to re-enter everything I wrote on their form about me and the contacts I need just because I made the mistake of using a non alphanumeric character in my password. (They didn't say not to and of course using non alphanumeric characters is the way to make your password more secure.)
So I reenter everything and they give me a total due -- Yes, there is no shipping fee but there is a $13 "processing fee."
Sorry, I don't care to deal with a co. That's misleading from the start. Bye.
The transaction was painless, the customer service agent was agitating, and the first contact I opened was irreparably damaged. So far, not off the a great start aside from the ease at which my credit card was charged.
Order was wrong (twice), but customer service took my call / addressed it
I was filling out the form on webeyecare to order a box of contact lenses. When I ran a search of the particular lenses, they had the best price, but what they don't tell you is that the price quoted does not include the mandatory "processing fee" of $9.80 they tack on. I thought that was a bit steep- but the price was still a bit lower than other places, so I proceeded, after going through the entire order form and filling in all of the prescription numbers and – billing address etc- THEN you get to select your "Shipping Options." The LEAST expensive shipping option was "Ground 5 Day" for $12.95! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! SURELY they were not going to charge an additional $12.95 to ship a tiny box of Contact lenses that would easily fit into a U. S Priority mailing BOX for $5.20? At that point I stopped and used their "Live Chat" option to see if I was misunderstanding something.
The Chat Rep explained that they charge the $9.80 "Processing fee" to "process and verify the prescription" and the $12.95 covers the UPS Ground shipping. I told her $12.95 shipping was ridiculous. She then offered a 5% discount code. I asked if there was a minimum purchase required – no minimum. I then asked if the 5% applied to the TOTAL PRICE including the $22.75 additional fees. She said it applied to the processing fee- but not the shipping.
This is a racket- I'm ordering from another company.
I ordered contacts, which took me about 3 hours because of website problems. As a result, I have been charged twice, on different credit cards. I have written to Webeyecare but have had no response.
