I was weary about using an online phone unlocking service opposed to just going to a local store to unlock my phone. These fears turned out true as I don't think this service is legitimate. I have paid for an unlock key for my phone purchased directly from samsung (used) so there shouldnt be any issues. It has been 5 days now and they still indicate it is "Processing". Dont waste your money on a high risk venture such as this and just drive to your local phone repair store and get it done immediately.
After mistakenly giving them the wrong IME the first time and couldn't get a refund back. I excepted and respected that. So, I try again giving the right IME # two weeks goes by and they finally tell me they can't unlock and that I'll have to wait 7 business days to receive a refund in which I feel like a refund should immediate! Anyways this is the worse experience ever! Not only that the time and the cost of dealing with is not worth it at all!

After the first 14 days they said phone was unlocked and good to go, it wasnt. Then they said it would be another 10days. After those 10 days they said it was good to go, it wasnt. So after almost 1 month of wasting time with them they said sorry we cant unlock the phone. Absolutely the worst experience I have had. Dont waste your money with them. Horrible!

UnlockRiver has not done a thing for me, except take my money.The Unlock code they gave me was bogus... REFUND? Forget it! It pays to go to a shop and have them unlock your phone instead. Don't waste your hard earned money on these fools! Stay away from U/R.
Take my advice and just don't do business with them. They have a very ambiguous refund policy that they play out to rip you off. They claim they can unlock your phone in hours but I waited 10 days and got nothing. When I filed a dispute the bank unfortunately stood by their ridiculous refund policy. The scam is to make you wait until you decide to cancel and then they still keep your money even though they have done nothing! To file a claim in Small Claims Court would be successful but too time consuming. Of course they know that and if you did file I am sure they wouldn't show up. You win by default. They would have to explain exactly how they unlock these phones in court. They can't do that. They would also have to defend their refund policy against their own advertising. They won't do that either. If you have the time and get ripped off by them I strongly suggest taking them to court. You may be the one that finally puts them out of business. YouTube videos are more than likely made by them and not by satisfied customers. All of them are scripted the same. Attached is the real name of the company on my invoice. Unlock River is a DBA.

Never received an email telling me my code was ready. Had to make a claim through Paypal just to get a response! They ignored my email I sent to ask why it was taking so long. Way past 15 days! I checked status everyday and it said still processing. They claim they sent an email but all LIES!
It's been 22 days after paying I haven't received unlock code till date. They keep postponing., really disappointing with the service n lost money as well

Very bad experience, placed an order for iPhone 7 AT&T unlock waited 9 business days without any update of the status (just "processing") asked to cancel the service and got a NO REFUND (not even partial!) policy on my face. Lost $110 just like that.
I had an At&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge but i switched to T-Mobile and it only took 2 days to have my phone unlocked. Christmas came early for me. I was still paying for the phone and these guys still got it unlocked. THANKS!
I recently tries to switch my phone to a different carrier and discovered that it was locked to the original network. Since I had bought the phone used, I wasn't associated with the original network. This is by far the fastest, easiest, legal and most reliable way to unlock your phone. Yeah you can go to phone repair shops now a days but that takes time, gas, and hassle, and cost more. I simply put in my information all correct, they sent me a receipt stating in MOST cases it takes 24 hours but maybe IT WILL TAKE UP TO 7 DAYS. So they state that sometimes it doesn't happen over night so you just wait, the waiting period was only 3 days, and on top of that they send follow up emails if its still processing, so they're really good on keeping and open line of communication. Worse case scenario is it doesn't happen, but they have a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. This company is NOT a scam and will get your phone unlocked, just be patient with them. So i'd say its worth every penny, cause my iPhone 7+ is now unlocked and i can click any sim card in whenever i want.
