I've used Ufile many times before and for the most part, haven't had many issues, however, I recently started to compare different tax software's and realizing the differences in addition to most other sites being far more user friendly in addition to offering more options for tax savings and suggestions, I now realize that Ufile is extremely outdated and product is inferior. They always seem to be offering some type of discount to pay earlier before filing taxes and their software does NOT offer or advise you of things you might not have been aware of like the BC renters' credit, working from home tax deductions etc. I literally tried two other sites as a new person and they did offer these tax savings ideas and in claiming GST rebates. I've been using Ufile for many years and now realize that I have most likely have not been receiving the best possible tax returns or credits that I should have been getting. After having found out that I qualified for other tax savings ideas, I tried to use the Refile option and just kept getting error messages. I've literally contacted Ufile around 5 times with NO success as their Customer Service is the absolute worst ever! I stayed on hold for around 20 minutes and finally got an agent who didn't even say hello or greet me, but then later said to just email them! Seriously? Isn't that why you have email and the customer service number? I've literally tried to email them 5 times and kept getting page unresponsive error messages also, and even when I did get through one email support finally sent, but absolutely NO acknowledgement that they received anything! Any company or website is only as good as the people who work there, and I also wonder how much money I've left on the table (so to speak) using their software when others are far more effective and superior. I guess it was a loyalty brand type of thing on my part, but they have lost a customer here now and I will no longer be using their services. I would highly recommend trying different tax software systems before filing your returns in order to compare the refunds or in some cases, money owed! There is a difference!
