All the tutors I've had are able to get the correct answers for my questions, but only a few are able to explain concepts or steps in a problem where I am able to easily understand. So I stick with the tutors who can explain easily, and where they don't just GIVE the answer, but work through a problem with me. On the other hand, customer support is not always great. They say they will refund my minutes due to some technical issues on their site, but they don't keep their word half the time.

Come to every tutoring session with a specific question(s) in mind. I thought this program was generally helpful with the questions I had. They used good technology and the chat service was quick and reliable. However, I stopped using it after the first month (because I didn't need help with the particular unit I was doing in class) and they continued charging me because I forgot to cancel the payment. Make sure you keep track of your payment and check your emails so you don't lose any money.

The tutors are very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Much cheaper than paying an in person tutor $25/hr. A great service that I'll continue to use!

I have been using Tutor vista for about 2 years now and the service is excellent. When we started it was not 24/7 and now they moved to a 24/7 tutor availability model. The teachers are well qualified and know their subject well. Sometimes, they have an accent issue. One if the issues i faced was the audio tutoring would crash the browser and since then moved to non-audio white board tutoring and that is working great. I understand that they fixed the issues on the audio, but i never got a chance to try it again. Overall happy with the service.

TutorVista definitely has improved since I started using it over a year ago. Their prices are around the same and their tutor quality went up, however there are still some tutors I dislike and they are another company that have a few "glitches". They pressure you too much to renew your subscription which is typical in these online companies, but it's too often. Also, they need to get rid of the bad tutors and replace them. To avoid those tutors, I only have session with my preferred tutors. Also, too much of their website for newcomers is outdated. For example, it says that math, science, and english are 24x7, when now they changed it so math is only 24x7. Also, the whiteboard is a little glitchy. Sometimes if you upload a file with quite a few pages, the last few ones may not show up. They also seem to defend tutors sometimes if you do not like them. Lastly it still says they tutor in Hindi so some students may sign up for it although it has changed. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons, and there has been improvements so I am not worried.

The tutors are great and you are able to get help right away. All the tutors go slowly and make sure you understand every step they take in solving your questions. The online support is also very efficient in solving any technical difficulties you may have.

I gave a 4 because sometimes I can't get a tutor or the system runs slow. I have voiced my concerns with customer service so they can fix the problem that happens when I log on.

My daughter, a sophomore in HS was having problems understanding Alg/trig and her teacher did not help her. She was able to call this online tutor service whenever she needed to clarify a topic to get the help she needed. I would give a 5 stars but they automatically bill me for the following month after the initial period was over without notifying me 1st. I contacted them but am still waiting for them to reply back to me.

It's a great service for all types of students from kindergarten to university. I've used it to get help with university calculus and I found it very helpful. TutorVista is Worth a try :)

Tutor Vista allows you to get help in anything that you need help in. And... if you don't need help then simply log onto TutorVista, select a topic and (either Language, Science or Math) and simply say that you want to learn more on a specific topic on a subject. I know I've done that a couple of times. I have nothing to do and all I do is log on and learn something new. Maybe something that we haven't covered at school but want to get a head start. That always helps. And I actually do see an improvement whereas I don't know about it prior to learning and sometimes things can get a little confusing. Especially as you enter higher grades. I think that it's not as important if you are in lower grades such as 1st thru 6th or 7th grade but after that I think you may need it. I've had it since 7th grade but haven't had the need to use it until this year. Entering 8th Grade.
I always get help in physics all the time and it actually does help. I see my classmates struggle but I've already gotten a preview of the item we are learning so honestly it has helped me

Most tutors are really good, some tutors though don't know anything and even teach you the wrong way. TutorVista needs to be more picky on who it hires for tutors. Overall though very good.

Some of the tutors I have are excellent, and some it's hard to find a proper tutor for the topic. Overall good service but better if their was a bit more tutors and times available to take sessions.

I found the tutors extremely knowledgeable and eager to assist. They go that extra step to see to it that you understand the problem they are assisting you with.

The majority of the time we have good tutors who are able to help us out. It is at times difficult to convey the issue we are having, but we typically find a way. There have been a couple of times where a tutor is just not understanding the issue, so we move on. We've had a couple of issues with time and billing, but they are willing to get the issue resolved.
In the end, this is very flexible and with the 24x7 uptime, there is always someone available to help us.
